guys, how do I install track light if the lighting point is in the middle instead of at the end? Is there any accessories to accommodate this situation?
*
Simple - use two tracks , end to end. Pass the wires thru.
I did that without having to relocate the wires
There are accessories as well but it might be difficult to find them here locally
Dunno if this can fit your track - https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32494382965.h...e-feed-aluminum

Are wide angled GU10 LED bulbs available locally? I am planning track lights for living /dining rooms. Have just started searching online but can't seem to find any. Need 60 degree or above.

For me even 36° is too wide. Prefer narrower beam for more shadowy effect. The wider the beam, the more even the lighting. Pools of light is much more pleasant

Anyway I found 180° - https://www.lazada.com.my/550lm-6w-85-265v-...0180225012716:s

Hi guys.. anyone with track light experience..can share whether to get the COB Led type track light (can change the led if spoilts) or built in led type ?

Which is better? From what I understand COB Led the light is not as nice? is it true?

thanks

I have track lights. Mine uses MR16 led bulbs that was bought separately.
What is COB?

Cob type LED looks like this. It is more densely arranged into one unit and more narrow focus angle, good for spotlight or eyeball, as accent light. Good for wall grazing.

If wana achieve showhouse ID effect, need to master lighting type. Task light, accent light, ambient light.

oh ok thanks.....i dun think mine are cob then....but i do have a narrow beam...27º and 36º

Hi guys,
I am looking for a wifi smart light that I can control away from home
Preferably value for money
Does this do the job??

*
yes can but how many of these you gonna put?
also remember that your wifi must always be on or you wont be able to control them with your phone
another way is to use smart switches instead of smart bulbs
The one in your sample picture uses E27 screw type sockets. There are not a lot of ceiling fixtures that takes this kind of bulbs, mostly table lamps
Also consider the lumens, it is only 450 lumens which is about a 40 watt incandescent bulb
There are also smart downlights like these available -

Today mark 4 years 6 months usage of the Yetplus 6" LED downlight in my house.

Usage pattern 6 hours per night constantly for 12/39 of the lights, total hours is approaching 10k mark at 9.85k hours/light now.
None of them malfunction until now, but the intensity test using lux meter did shown degraded to 80% of original brightness when compare with those that seldom turn ON.

I won't say the brightness is durable, but the driver reliability is quite remarkable in my opinion.

my philips LED MR16 bulbs and Philips drivers also still working after 5 years. Not sure about the brightness but I think some of my lights had change color temperature from 4000K to something more yellow. Not all of them but some of them

Hi guys. Need some help here.

I'm renovating my condo unit right now and have mostly settled on the lights. Got them from Deng Lighting. I'm using narrow-angle eyeballs as my general lighting in most of my rooms (6w 700lm 36°).

However I'm having trouble finding a suitable LED for my balcony and study room. I prefer having eyeballs due to aesthetic reasons and I'm looking for the following:

Balcony - surface mounted
1000-1500lumens with a 36-45° beam angle x2

Study room - recessed
1000-1200lumens with a 36°-45° beam angle x4

Deng/lightcraft don't seem to have any in the specs I want above. Any ideas what other shops are there to get them?

the fixture, you can look at this recessed Philips QBS027 - https://www.lighting.philips.com/main/prof/...0269_EU/product

it fits MR16 bulbs

As for the LED MR16 - again go with Philips Master LED series but you will not find a 1000lm. Gila meh, where got so high? I think norm is around 400-500lm for MR16 LED. Others I dunno You can search for something like this - "Philips Master LED MR16". I suggest 4000K color - not too yellow and not too white.

The driver better get Philips as well.

You can ask Sin Lian Wah what is available for Philips MR16 LED bulbs now cause I am out of touch. They are Philips dealer and offer a good price when I bought all mine - https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Lig...05552427927802/

So far for the past 5 years I have been using the above combo Philips - all ok, havent burn out any yet.

Yes I'm using "eyeball" recessed lights with 36° beam in my living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and dry kitchen. I'm using the wide angle general LED lights (the ones with wider round housing) in my wet kitchen only. I also supplement my living area and others with a 12° mini recessed light for some accent lighting. Link below for the 12° one. It is small and looks quite discrete and when my ID saw it she immediately wanted to know where to get it.

Titan Light is good. I am using their track lights. So far for 5 years now still ok. Very solid metal construction compare to Rio. Bought from Lightcraft which is same company as Deng
