Bob Gale: Back to the Future Blu-ray Looks “Breathtaking”

During an interview on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future, Bob Gale, BTTF  creator, producer and co-writer, said he had seen the movie projected days ago and he thought "it looks so good, so much better than it did in 1985", when it opened in theaters.

He further explained: "When they did the remastering for the Blu-ray they spent over 400 hours doing dirt cleanup, and almost another 200 hours doing color correction, so the movie looks better than it ever did." When a film is shown at the theater, "you have the print going through the projector, it picks up dirt, gets scratched and with the digital technology these guys fixed almost all of that stuff, and it just looks breathtaking."

Me too not a Rocky fan, I've only watched Rocky I & II on TV long long time ago but still bought it coz' cheap and maybe later try to enjoy it

I love Rocky but I've seen them on BD and even on that price, I'll be buying the films not the transfers which are god awful. I'm not one to buy films just to use them to boost my collection.

The Film:

"Undisputed" is a catchy title, and must have seemed too good to pass up, but I am sure I not alone in disputing it, since none of the early Rocky movies have seen any significant restoration in several years, nor is the audio commentary present on the 2-disc special edition of Rocky included here. What's more, the original Rocky film was, and still is, presented on only a single layer disc with the old MPEG-2 encode.

Die Hard 1 & 2 PQ aren't that bad, 3 to 3.5 stars I would rate it. Vengeance is 3.75 stars and the fourth one of course 5 stars. Too bad I missed that amazing deal.
