i do not read the books, and will not in the future.. but eagerly waiting for the season 2..

i just prefer to not to know anything before watch the series.. it'll spoil my watch if i know something in advance from the books..

of course are from the books, since S2 hasn't come out yet.

the best thing about this series for the fans of the books is, they really follow what the book wrote

The series also expands the role of a few characters heavily in Season 2.

i'm almost done with book 2: clash of kings. i wanted to buy the 3rd book, but sorta confused. there seems to be 2 different versions.

one book is a storm of swords.

then there are another two books called a storm of swords: book 1 and book 2.

anybody know what's the difference? the font size is more or less the same, and page numbers for the storm of swords book is more or less the same with either one of the 2nd set. so it's not a reprint. but since the 2nd set is almost twice thicker (combined), does that mean more chapters not previously printed on the other book?

Just buy Storm of Swords if you find it.
UK and Australia publishers split the massive book of Storm of Sword into 2 books.

Oh yeah... The single storm of swords is the combination of the storm of swords 1 and 2. Like bro xy2610 said, in some regions storm of swords was split into books 1 and 2, in some other regions there is just one book. So if you get the one book version buy that one, otherwise if you buy only book 1 you'll be missing out A LOT in the next book (Feast for crows)

But I wonder how they will do Season 4 since they also plan to do 2/3 of the book 3 for Season 3, which in turn, leaving other 1/3 to be stretched through Season 4.
Anyway, HBO has not confirmed Book 3 to be adapted yet even though there is a plan.

from some preview video i saw recently, the producers are now hoping to adapt "A song of ice and fire" not just the books according to seasons. So only time will tell how they'll map the books to the future seasons
