Wow, very faithful to the book.
Not an easy adaptation.
I'm glad that I'm not disappointed with the introduction of the characters so far.
If you have not read the book, you may find there are quite a lot of characters to get to know.
And there are MORE to come.
Can't wait for next week instalment.
Because it will get better and better (if it is done right, of course).

The opening credit is very impressive, I must say.
It brings the Westeros alive. thumbup.gif

dem...after The Killing, i can say for sure that this is the next best thing...

love the dark medieval setting...so many characters got introduced, yet hard to root for any of them seeing how messed up the world is...

and i agree, the opening credit is great!!

based on the first episode: it's great!!
based on the novel reader regarding the story: promising.

i'm not big on medieval tv series really, the only reason i watch the 1st eps is mainly because there's a fantasy elements present...n turns out, i'm hooked!!

i just hope HBO will continue adapting the series until the end...

The Killing + Game Of Thrones = Super Awesome TV night for me, LOL!
I have not watched two shows on one night for a long, long time.

The Imp has the best lines of all characters so far in the book. (Just finished the first book.)
He is so funny, even funnier if you could hear his thoughts.
He is a good comic relief with so much going on in the Westeros world.
Too bad, no one is safe in the series...
Apart from him, Arya Starks is another lovely character in the book.

Lena Headey is meant to be a b**ch. I mean her character, the Queen.

It is promising.
Hope it is going to be really great because the first book is amazing, I must say.
I have not read the remaining 3 books, the fifth book due this July.
Just started the 2nd book today actually.

I'm afraid the show will catch up with the book before the book finished.
It took the author more than 5 years to finish the fifth book.
Imagine he takes the same amount of time to finish the 6th and the last.
Let's hope it works out well.

It's good to see the red keep, the heart tree and the wall in the opening credit.
And I never thought Pentos could look so good, in the book, things across the narrow sea always take place in plain grass, desert or mountain.
It was really hard to imagine these places from the book.
That's what makes the opening credit awesome.

It's just the pilot, anyway.
It will become clearer what is happening.
A few plots are running at the same time too.
Of coz, more boobs will be featured too.

This is one great book adapted series so far. The lines are true to the book but readers like me might find it a little bit cheesy when they are repeated. Nonetheless the cast are great.

My fav would be the Imp and Bran. Looking forward for more dialogues for them. Oh, and Joffrey looks awfully ugly but suitable for its character.

To be honest, I think its quite the challenge to make the episodes according the plot as R.R. Martin writes according to the characters by each chapters and relate it beautifully without any missing links.

As for the opening. Great clockwork stuff. It is stated that every episode will show different animations according to the places involve in the episodes. For those who are alert, you can notice that in that it shows the free city of Pentos in the first episode in the opening, but in the second it shows Vaes Dothrak as to accord the movement of Khal Drogos people.

Awesome.

Joffrey is ugly indeed. Why Sansa thinks that he is very handsome is beyond me. Guess the vision of being the queen blinds her.
Yeah, the opening is very interesting, Vaes Dothrak has its beauty. I can't wait to see how Eyrie, Riverrun and Dragonstone looks like. (Okay, I'm only up to the 2nd book.)
I wonder why Daenerys sigil is a lion instead of a dragon while Sansa sigil is a dragon instead of a direwolf btw. They must have messed up the actresses.

Yeah, but not knowing the end until the series catch up seems like a good idea after all.
But what if...Let's hope it works out well.
And Book 3 and Book 5 can easily being adapted into 1.5 to 2 seasons due to its length, IMO.
