ahsos m4a88td-v evo /usb3 is one of those u can consider. nice build quality, decent bios, good ram & chip mileage... best of all u can get it @ around RM350 only. undervolt/overvolt issue is d only letdown but even d all mighthy chiv bug by d same issue so not so bad eh...

for d price tag it carries i'd rather go for 890fxa-gd70 which is slightly cheaper in sg, not so sure in mesia thou.

yup, definitely one of d low-mid range boards to look for. if only d undervolt/overvolt issue can be fixed by bios update... that'd be... perfect?

u asked d wrong person bro, there are lotsa ram guru here. u should ask sis verdict, xixo and others. my approach is always time consumin & sloow...

1. use memtest to test d targeted freq + timing (if can pass about 20 round of test #5, proceed with 2)
2. use turbo v (voltage: vdimm + vimc are d most related) + cpu tweaker (timing) coupled with prime blend/custom test

i'd raid 0 ssd sata3 version for one shot if i were u... intel ssd still on sata2 no?

there's no value ram that can do wonders nowadays... those like dom gt cost an arm & leg... i miss those days where we can get kvr w/ premium chippies... premium stuff gettin more & more expensive...

that depends on how u define high end, > RM500, > RM750 or near to RM1k?

a decent board not necessarily costly, but not havin a decent board could mean average/poor ram mileage (i consider u njoy tweakin ram more than chip). havin a decent board is like ownin a gud car, u mite drive it @ normal speed most of d time but u can drive as fast as u want (well, obviously not as fast as premium cars) when u have d "urge".

for a start i demand a 1600 @ 6-6-6... com'on sis... it's about time for u to ditch d 790fx & embrace 890fx...

no wonder abg otromen can't concentrate on his oc, ruper2 nyer got new prawn farm...

more like d imc/ram doesn't like certain divider to me... it happens all d time... usually i have less luck w highest ram divider...

htt volt & nb volt @ stock? u mite wanna consider givin 'em a bit of boost... there's no harm especially vhtt... start from 1800 @ 7-8-7 then slowly increase from there bro... 1866 @ cas 7 rite away mite be a bit hard for d imc/board to swallow...

u just need sometimes to get used to it sis, com'on, u just had it for a day or 2 so dun be too hard on yaself... which model ur havin sctually, mind 2 share?

i think yas should be of psc chippies sis, capable of high freq but @ x-x+1or2-x... 6-7-6 @ 16xx still manageable, any higher u need to go w/ 7-8-7 or even 7-9-7... gskill flares are runnin on same kinda chippies iianm...

good job there bro... i believe there is still room for improvement. let it run for few days, then try higher freq... at least 1840 is doable coz thuban seems to have better imc than deneb/propus... aint it fun in tweakin ram, but hate it when u keep seein workers failed...

if one were to buy ahsos board, make sure it's of 8+1/8+2 pwm, no point goin for 4+1 pwm board then later upgrade again... some vanila 8xx boards of ahsos (non evo) only come w/ 4+1 pwm... better beware...

yup, for RM365 880 evo is a steal... only drawbacks are d well known issue in undervolt/overvolt & d 4x 2ndary pci-e.

i'd go for giga as well if d rig is meant for oc... it's diff case if it's for htpc purposes... but i wouldn't choose msi coz i rahter spent my moneyh on biostar which come w/ remote if cf is not a must.

nothing wrong but it's better to have more to be on d safe side (bein kiasu) provided d implementation is gud. some say a real phase consist of group of mosfets & capasitors as well as a driver ic. theoretically more phase leads to more stable volts, hence cleaner voltage. it's useful when u torture ya components (especially chip) with handsome amount of volt...

yup, from what i heard d integrated temp sensor is not so accurate. if core temps are already high enuf on load then u mite need to worry about d real temp (from my experience core temp is always lower than cpu temp).
