What I mean is since you can't get SUB to work, try testing with SRT instead. If still can't work then you must be doing something wrong.

What about the name of the subtitle? Is it same name as movie?

Not the folder. The Movie and the subtitle should be the same name (except the extension). At least that applies to SRT subtitles.

Mini same function, but cannot put internal HD.

For past 6 mths did you update your FW which could have caused the prob or was it new MKV files you got which you never played on the POHD before until now?

Can send me one sample to try ?

Most of Media players can since most using the same series of Realtek or Sigma chipsets

Anyway as far as latest FW 3875 (Big POHD) is concerend , BD.ISO now got playback issues, stuttering and sound breakup after a few minutes of playing (varies with diff titles). Previous FW 2901 didn't have issues with BD.ISO.

Hope they fix it in next FW.

I thought one of those 1GB MKV episode

All models sold within the last 2 months should be new chipset 1073DD+ (official name is C+). Maybe the box should have the + sign somewhere on the label, I think.

After buying can confirm the chipset by installing latest FW. Under the setup information there is option to check the chipset.

The new 1073DD+ can suppport HD Audio

Current FW supposed to have TrueHD passthrough (stated in the FW notes), but I don't have new POHD set to test. They didn't mention DTS-MA so maybe this audio format might only be passthrough the Core 5.1 only.

As for old Model 1073DD can't support HD Audio. Only DTS Core 5.1 from DTS-MA source.

Take note the new FW got Dolby 5.1 (extracted from True-HD source) now, but only sometimes working. Some titles still produce error "unknown audio format" while some titles got at least 5.1 sound.

The quality improved because they made the picture smaller. Look at the black borders of widerscreen movies, at top and bottom, they are now broader than before.

FW is for both old and new. You will get the functions according to the capabilities of the chipset. But as for bugs.....

That's good news for C+ users . But pity I am using old DD unit

Can please ask Junwei if DTS-MA is also passthrough and not just Core DTS 5.1. The release notes didn't state DTS-MA passthrough so I am just curious.

This is a ThumbGen created moviesheet I will be using on my POHD. Did some slight modifications on a template provided by someone over at Official WDTV Forums. It might be a bit dark looking on a PC monitor , but looks great on a bright LCD TV.

File problem probably.

Moviesheet (jpg) must be placed in same folder as movie and named as 0001.jpg to make sure it's the first jpg that the POHD displays. The movie will play when you press 'enter' button when the moviesheet is displayed on the screen. If there is no movie found in the folder it won't play.

Pressing 'Next' button will display the next folder with a jpg file (the first jpg file it finds). That means you have to have name all your moviesheets in each movie folder with the same name '0001.jpg'.

Older FW don't work with Tumbgen. The newest official 3582 will work, but is is very unstable and lots of bugs. So I suggest use the older Beta 4318 FW.

No for Mini, use back Mini FW.

You have to try it out yourself, because I am not using the Mini.

Added on October 1, 2010, 12:22 pmAfter brief testing I reverted back to Beta 4318. Most of the earlier reported bugs still not fixed.

Few good things with this release is they 'managed' to put back the Time seek bar and the 'Menu' selectiion function.
