yes.. i tested my DVD player with 1080p upscale function watching my Matrix Ultimate collection DVD.
pretty good i would say but comparing to those 1080p i download.
the feeling is like playing bluray in my TV.. u compare urself.

go buy Belkin Power Extension, it has insurance cover. haha

My LG 37LC7R lcd tv bought slightly over 2 years ago has now gone kaput!!! Circuit board issue which the repairer indicated over $500 to repair it and i did not think of the need to buy extended warranty at the time of purchase from Carrefour. This was bcos my 11 yrs old Daewoo which i still using now has not fail me yet. So those whom are buying, pls pay a bit more for extended warranty, dun follow my mistake.

insurance also depends on socket...
can be up to RM10k insurance for any device connected to the belkin power ext.

I don't think extended warranty it's covered by LG but by the shop you buy from. Also have to read the fine print if extended warranty got cover the parts and service or is it just the service by the shop.
