How do you gift applications anyways?

To gift an app on your iPhone just navigate to "App Store"> search for app> on the app page scroll down to below the screenshots and tap "Gift This App" and follow the instructions.

I've never tried that before but normally when wanna give apps to others, just give them account and they sign in then can dl already right? Slightly risky lol
