2tb F4EG (hd204ui) is now rm290 @ Czone, prices is dropping like crazy

according to samsung website, this model supports "4K with emulation"

how does one format/partition a HDD to use 4K sectors instead 512bytes?  izzit done automatically during partitioning/formatting process in windows 7?

Sorry a newb question here, what is the advantage of using 4k sectors? And since it's in 'emulation' I assume it means not 'native'? And would that be good?

Also btw guys I have a e-Sata port on my casing but when I plug in a sata HDD, I don't see the 'safely remove' options as if it's not hot swappable. I turned on SATA AHCI mode already.

Well, with 4k sectors, we can see the sizes increase exponentially tongue.gif maybe 4TB, then 8TB, then 16TB, then 32TB and so on tongue.gif

If only there is a breakthrough in our internet which allows the speed to increase exponentially as well

You have my condolences for having to experience the pain and heartache of storing your data to DVDs. Not only will it take forever to burn stuff, it will also only be of a limited capacity, and you will probably never watch their contents again.

Probably the first time you use your DVD burner 'burn' function right tongue.gif
