any 1 terabyte single platter hard disk available yet @ shops? i heard that most manufacturers already breaking the 1tb barrier for single platter. and i heard that they will launch the disk end of august? unsure.gif

yes. you can see some people did "short stroke" with their harddisk, because single platter seems not "fast" for him/her. they want to write/read access to become short, thats why they did that even though that size will decrease. single platter 1TB will only use single disk to store data so read/write data will slightly quick.

did make a survey in several shops around kuala lumpur and still no shops have stocks. probably still not being release by manufacturer yet. sweat.gif they still sell thick 1TB drive which contain 2 disks.

but my current dekstop HDD is WD Green - very silent but slow too sweat.gif

the announcement of 1TB single platter made around may ago still in "production line" doh.gif

so maybe we can get 1TB per platter end of this year unsure.gif
