Finally bought myself the Buffalo Drivestation 2tb usb3 ext hdd yesterday after all the surveying prices in lowyat plaza.
But i wanna ask - Can it affect my boot up time?. Yesterday when i plug it in i notice boot up time takes longer. I havent install anything in the drive . Its running in usb3.0 so shouldnt it b faster?. ALL this time I have another ext hdd plug in as well - 2.5' 320gb usb2.0, but dis drives never affect my boot up time. |

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Nov 25 2011, 04:48 PM) I would recommend you not to plug external storage into the PC when you booting up, the OS usually will detect the external drive and possibly scans it when it's booting up, detach all external storage for optimum boot up time. Yeah im doing dis method currently. So it means it normal isist?..But my other ext hdd didnt really affect my boot up time mayb bcoz its smaller in capacity? Or maybe there is some setting to configure in windows coz actually dis is my first time using 2tb drive and also usb3.0.... |
