Anyone using the WD Caviar Blue 500GB (WD5000AAKS)? Or at least have experienced it before?

Want to get an affordable hard disk replacement, don't want to spend so much on the Caviar Black for now.

I tried the 320GB AAKS and its very good for office usage biggrin.gif

WDC Green, if I'm not mistaken is 5400rpm when idle or slight loads, but when you need the transfer speed, it'll hike up to 7200rpm, please correct me if the current model is not as so.

According from this article it never say it is a 7200rpm drive

I'm looking for a new 2TB HD now.
Currently I own 3 WD Green for storing file purpose. So far these 3 hard disk working well.
Number of my friends are using Samsung F1/F3 hard disk & I know this hard disk performs better than WD Green.
My question is between WD Green & Samsung F3 which 1 has the better reliability?
*
electronic things very subjective bro.

in terms of speed, Samsung F3 better because its 7200rpm HDD.

I owned both WD Green and Samsung F3 as storage.
Both perform well notworthy.gif

When SSD first coming out, a lot of laptop manufacturers start to introduce SSD based laptop.
But now, it seems like most laptop manufacturers still going back to 2.5HDD as their main-stream selling model.

May be cost wise really can't compete.

After all many laptop user don't know anything about HDD,

they only see capacity, then WOAHHHHHHHHH so big laugh.gif
