yes, only use for less than few months, just called dell tech support, and talked to really "unfriendly" agent, who did not believe the diagnostic i ran myself vmad.gif

want me to call back while i am in front of the system, give many excuses, more like to argue instead of giving tech support, will give him a bad feedback..

usually if you are unlucky, that will happpen to you..that's why sometimes i am lazy to call, before this, i had my hdd replaced..just by sending email...

in the email, i stated that i have ran the diagnostic...the good thing is, 1 day after sending the email, the technician came n replaced my hdd..no need to argue or anything.. tongue.gif

i see, before this i normally i send email instead of calling because the right person will call me back. this time i just want experience the difference of xps premiere 24/7. was quite disappointing because of few bad experience. i will tell the experience here

weeks ago i had the system unexpectedly wake up. when i tried to call (the number i got form my invoice) in the weekend, their interactive voice answering system cannot capture what i enter from my phone, tried on few phone but same, gave up coz as customer no way i gonna troubleshoot their answering equipment defect

this early morning i see display defect, when i called, the call was routed to Australia, i am cool with that. the agent advised me to run the diagnostic test but i told him that i am working on the system so cannot do so. so he generated a case number for me, so when i am free i can call back to proceed.

since my computer skill is intermediate, i am not odd with dell diagnose test. i restarted the system press F12 and can the diagnose which one of it is to test the screen. i am able to tell that the test certainly shows that the screen has defect.

when i go to the office and have lunch break time, i called up dell same number again. gave him the case number but the agent asked for service tag ok cool i gave him. then in our conversation i told him i had ran the diagnose test but he insisted that the way that i ran was incorrect, although from his explanation i can understand that it is the same test just that using different method to start it (D+ON button??). Well i feel not been respected and in the conversation more argument than support received, and he did not believe of what i saw during the diagnose test. I feel that he may not be trained on the diagnose test because his advice is not convincing enough. when i raised the issue that if the parts delivery will be delayed if i only test it back home in the evening he emphasized that what covered by the warranty is only 24x7 phone support, no weekend on site bla bla. in addition, he insisted that he cannot call me back when i requested so. the reason i gave was altot it's a "premiere" service line, i had to wait on the phone for more than 5 minutes before i was answered. he also suspected that i called the wrong number so that is why i had to wait for long time. i believe such statement will really hurt a customer.

anyway, i will update my story when there is any, haha

@davehii..

my SXPS also has that kind of problem.

can we complain to dell about this?

in fact, my unit has a quite big gap on both sides.

If both side gap same size no matter big or small i still can accept, but if they are not equally big in size then something is wrong. We can complain but we need more sample case, any other users found the same condition?
