@i didnt use battery so i dont know about the battery life. just a reminder in case u didnt see when u want to boot ur ubuntu cd. the boot option key is F12

These days it's been very warm. Those non-air cond temps are amazing! You got a very good unit.

I am quite convinced. So the vent problem must not be very serious. Considering i5 is 35W TDP.

BTW, I have a desktop with i3, I use CoreTemp and HWM, which is correct? One gives me ridiculously low (<30C) the other gives me very high (with little load).

ok, i compared the gap between 2 lids just now(with battery and without battery) the gap is almost the same. however, if we take out the battery, the distance travelled for dust to reach the gill is shorter(especially the right 1). i was trying to get some picture of it but i decided not to do it coz it's isnt that significant for both with battery and without battery. i think kheechun was right, i might over exaggerate the problem...
