QUOTE(hackwire @ Jan 19 2011, 12:08 AM) im looking for earphone. the current earphone i have is the Nike Sports earphone . I like the Nike white earphone but the ear bud just came off one by one and went missing . Than i listen to the Iphone earphone but the stuff kept felling off from my ear. I really do not want to go through this hassle again . Im a rough user and also a coyote. Im not that guy who will take the time to roll the earphone up or store it nicely in the bag. I expect the earphone to be able to zip up quickly and store itself in a little compartment when i need to put it back to whre it is. Lastly, i love some bass but also love to listen to Piano or Orchestra Music. I wonder if there's any below this price RM 100 I just don't know why i don't trust Philips and Sony salesman everytime i walk into its concept store. I wonder why ? and i trust more lowyat members than anything. I was gonna suggest Sennheiser's sports line of earphones but they cost ~RM200 depending on the model. QUOTE(CanKneez @ Jan 22 2011, 10:23 AM) actually, i plan on using the headphones in private in a room so i dont think an open can would bother anybody else.. i've been looking around some more and i came across an interesting find. Sennheiser HD280 Professional Headphone Sennheiser HD515 High-End Sound Experience Headphone surprisingly, they made HD280 sound better on reviews.. and it's cheaper any comments their sound quality? thanks in advance Weird, my findings say that the HD280 is the more expensive of the two. Where did you get the price for the two headphones from? This post has been edited by MrJinggles: Jan 22 2011, 11:03 AM

QUOTE(nevermine @ Jan 22 2011, 10:51 PM) Hi thanks for your reply and recommendation. i saw the Ibeats selling @ $99.95. and it is same price with Sennheiser MM 70 iP Ear-canal Headset with 3-Button Smart Remote. so im considering between these two model. currently im using SONY CLIP-ON headphone. even though all the buds are gone, but the sounds still great (for myself ) But im looking for another in ear type earphone. so hope the two mentioned model will be better than my SONY since the price is at least DOUBLE! does any1 know the price of the mentioned Sennheiser model? thanks again Retail price in Malaysia is a whopping RM429. Hmm... you can try Sennheiser's HD280 or Beyer's DT770 (apparently has big mid-bass)/ 660. A little more bass would be the ATH-M50 or so I read, or the ATH-A700. Anyway, it would be better if you could try out the cans for yourself. I just take reviews for what it is - someone else's opinion/impression of the product. Some reviews/impressions of the headphones mentioned: -ATH-M50's review/impression from Head-fi here. -ATH-A700 review/impression from Head-fi here-Senn's HD280 review/impression from cnet here and from Head-fi here-Beyer's DT660 review/impression from Head-fi here-Beyer's DT770 review/impression from Head-fi hereHere's an interesting read for choosing headphones : Headphone Buying Guide for NewbiesThis post has been edited by MrJinggles: Jan 23 2011, 06:13 PM

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Jan 25 2011, 06:56 PM) Sennheiser is only good for their expensive model. With ur budget u can buy other brand's headphones that can beat sennheiser's headphones that are in same price range hands down. Did he mean Denon D1001? I think D1000 is discontinued already. The D1001 is priced at RM500, which is 2x ur budget. You're right, the D1000 is discontinued, I must be outdated...

QUOTE(gigikuputih @ Jan 25 2011, 09:42 PM) Means some stores instead of giving solution they just recommend us their best item. They know that the item is not the best but in order to sell sth they just give their best item to sell. Not that what we really need I don't think you need to feel that way since you can audition the headphones there. If you don't like the sound of the headphones then don't buy Also, I must stress that they are a very friendly bunch IMO. Sometimes I go there for hours just to audition their IEMs without making a purchase This post has been edited by MrJinggles: Jan 25 2011, 09:56 PM

QUOTE(gigikuputih @ Jan 25 2011, 10:32 PM) 1 think I want to ask about Denon 510R, they used plastic instead of steel. Will it easily break if i use it oftenly? And is the sound superb already? Parts of the HD800 is made of plastic and it retails for $1400USD I guess it also depends on the plastic used. Can't comment on the sound as I've never heard the Denon 510Rs before.

QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Jan 29 2011, 03:20 PM) guys, mind recommending me a headphone? my criteria: 1. all rounder kind of music 2. not that bulky design since i'll be using the headphone in public transport etc 3. RM100 plus minus my friend recommended me Philips SPH2700, and a Superlux headphone (cant remember what model is that actually). any other recommendation? My vote goes to the Superlux (I think it's the HD668b which costs ~RM100) simply because it is said to outperform some headphones that cost twice as much. But I'm sure Superlux HD668b owners can chip in their thoughts about the headphone. I've never heard either headphones so don't take what I say seriously but I can point you to some reviews of said headphone. Here's some reviews on the headphone: Headfonia reviewLYN Superlux FanclubFellow LYN member's review of Superlux HD668bThis post has been edited by MrJinggles: Jan 29 2011, 05:44 PM

QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Jan 29 2011, 06:11 PM) from the bulk order it's RM150 well, i'm wearing a spec, does the Superlux wears comfortably without pressing my ears towards the spectacle frame? Ah, I was looking at the Headfonia review. It's 30USD so convert will be around RM100.

IE8 definitely has alot of bass, too much at times but out of all the IEMs I've tried (Shure SE530, TF10s, UM3X) the IE8 I would say has the most volume or should I say quantity in bass especially in the midbass. This can become problematic for me as it tends to drown out some of the details in the mid region. If you want good soundstage with punchy and accurate bass give the SM3 a try. Seriously though, where the SM3 lacks in bass quantity it more than makes up for in space, details, separation. When compared to the UM3x, the UM3x seems more dark IMO. The SM3 just has a sparkle to it that the UM3x lacks. The SM3 is like a refined UM3x.
