sonic gear sucks... it may be good to unexperienced people but normally it's a waste of time buying it
I suggest you take some time travel to Jaben Malaysia and get yourself some Hippo Epic or Hippo Groove icon_rolleyes.gif

Type of use: Mostly indoor

Type of use: Music

Music used: Alt-rock, heavy metal, death metal, rock-pop

IEM

Appearance: doesn't matter

Budget: around 65$

I'll use it mostly with my Ipod nano 5th gen with lossless formats

Also, I was thinking about CrossRoads MylarOne Bijou 3 or 4, but, since it is more expensive, I wanted to know if there's any difference between them except the adjustable bass.

Thank you in advance.

All audiophiles, I'm thinking of getting a earphone for outdoor use, would like some recommendations, including brand/model/price estimate.

Type of use: Outdoor/public transport. need abit of environment awareness.

Music used: More on Jazz, Classical, Light music/songs, & occationally Rock/Pop. More towards Neutral & Bright. Prefer SQ over Bass.

Fitting: Comfortable (small ears), no need frequent change on buds/cover, don't know normal type or insertion type better.

Appearance: Not need too fancy. Look as normal as possible.

Budget: rm300-rm1k. Which ever suits.

So far people recommend Etymotics/Ultimate Ear/Shure/Audio Technica/Seinheiser, other brands would also do as long as they are suitable.

Am trying to zoom in the brands & types of earphone before i go test them out. And since it's outdoor use i don't need top of the line models.

Hmm, with the type of music u listen to, maybe you could audition the Ortofon e-Q7. Good and clear mids and highs, but slightly weaker bass compared to IE8. It's a bit over your budget though (i think about RM1200), but just audition somewhere, I'm sure you'll get poisoned wink.gif

Guys, this thread becomes v5 and difficult to checkout previous feedback (kinda painful). Quick one;

1) Based from all headphone users feedbacks/comments, can recommend the very good quality below RM500 par? Whats the difference between open/closed air headphone? Pro, cons pls.
2) Headphone amp (input- 3.5mm jack, digital coaxial in, USB, DAC<-- MUST!) (Output--> 3.5mm jack, etc). Budget around RM800.

Thanks for your honest feedback/comments. By the way, which place can get cheap branded headphones?
