I can recommend Alessandro MS-1 open back headphone (RM475)

open air headphone basically have HOLES behind the cup of the headphone...
open air headphones will leak out sound/air/water/rice/sand as they can't hold anything
you can also share your music with people beside you while playing music
some people prefer open air headphones because it sounded wide and far as if football field

closed air headphone looked like perfectly designed rice bowls that won't leak out any sound/air/water/sand/rice
closed air headphone sounded like covering your ears with two rice bowls(but of course you hear music,not the ocean doh.gif)
people will not be able to hear the music that you are listening to.
some people prefer closed air headphones because music sounded close and direct
plus it will not disturb people around you

you can always go to Jaben headphone store at Subang SS15
they give great service and you can ask them anything about headphones
plus they might give you discount too smile.gif

for question 2, i think tubemagic DAC/amp at jaben has everythg u need...and it's abt rm700-800 i believe smile.gif

Good bass and clear quality for entertainment (music, movie and games)

btw, I read some articles about Ultimate Ears, Monsters, Grado, AKG, Sennheiser and etc. So which are better headphone/earphone at this price range?

I think one of the ibasso (D10? T4?) models has the specs u require + portable...but it's solid state...
Haven't heard of a portable tube amp/dac with all the requirements smile.gif
Maybe a more knowledgeable forumer can chip in?

Hi everyone, looking for a headphones...

My usage:

Player: iPod Shuffle 3rd gen (thus, must have a volume control, mic is not a must)

using for: music, watching high quality animation, and gaming(visual novel based, all BGM are those clear-and crispy type, and required clarity due to conversation)

Source: mostly MP3 & AAC
Genre: Classical, Vocaloid, and soundtrack

Personal: Prefer in-ear or Circum

Budget: below RM 100 or below RM 200(please recommend me more than one choice thanks)

Ultimateears are good for rocks. It sound like Grado for IEM. Or maybe try look for DBA-02.

Or u might try Hippo VB. FWIR, it's bass centric IEM but slight harsh treble.
