lets be clear. if iPhone4 is 4K I will buy one for your friend? got it??!
if its less, is your friend willing to get me one free?

good grief... iPhone has never been sold above RM3K ... why would Apple set the price at RM4000 ?!

tired of all this trolling ... baseless talk...

unofficially, he's lying to you.
8GB iPhone 3G, March 2009 (official launch in Malaysia) = RM2500

16GB iPhone 3G[S], July 2009 (official launch in Malaysia = RM2500
8GB iPhone 3G, July 2009 = RM1990.

so why should iPhone4 be RM4000 ?

Maxis n Digi are not bothered about Sing sales...
they have enough loyal customers here who want discounts on iPhone...

they are not competing with a foreign telco lerr...

@deepan84
the problem is that the discussion ALWAYS leads to warez... like any forum, this one would prefer to stay open, so the owners, staff & mods have set out the rules. if you feel the rules are unfair, PM the staff n mods to discuss it, not defy them ...
@ken_jr
that would depend, cos there are legal unlocks, and in certain countries unlocking is a right of the customers of the carriers (eg. France, Australia, UK) ... where the customer contacts the carrier for the unlock code and in the iPhone's case, the customer would need to update her iPhone software to have an unlocked iPhone.

@minde
jailbreaking isn't illegal here anyway smile.gif I may or may not jailbreak my iPhone... what is illegal is the warez... right now, LYN has a no-warez policy which has been extended to become a no-jailbreak-discussion policy.
again, if you don't agree, go PM the mods & discuss it in the separate section.

I found it OK at first... after 1 month... got tired of the slowness... now back to 3.1.3 . bad news is that 4.0 backup (SMS, game data, contacts) cannot be sync-ed to 3.1, cos its older firmware...

@apexitrust,
wah, for me, lag is a serious problem. cannot stand it.
try disable the spotlight features, if you want it to speed up a little.
