you know... for all the bleating & complaining I keep hearing... my response has always been the same.
1. there is no better phone on the market. NONE! 2. I will personally share with anyone who wants to learn about iPhone3G or 3G[S] or iPhone4 ... everything I know about it. 3. Even if the reports are all true, there is still no better phone on the market right now, and I have no faith that Samsung / RIM / HTC can actually engineer a better phone. They simply don't understand that it *must* be made simple enough that an 8-year old can pick it up and start using it, before the mass-market consumer types will buy it. 4. If the reported issues are really scaring you away from the best phone in the market right now, then get out of the way, we want one! |

@aleluya
here's the right way to use iOS 4 Fast App switching. 1. Just keep using your apps as you always did. 2. if you want to open an app you just left (by pressing home button) ... then double press, and its right there. 3. if any app is laggy or slow, double press, tap n hold, and manually clear up the RAM. < this step is supposed to be done by the OS, but some apps are not 4.0 compliant yet. done! like stringfellow pointed out, iPhone is a smart phone designed and built for the consumers. so I'm gonna agree with him, beavis68 & g3n0c|d3 who have had iPhone since it launched... early adopters got the whole 12 months experience... ya'll can wait n see... we'll get it as launched |

banana
locked = can only be used with that particular carrier. Eg. my friend bought a UK iPhone 3G[S] thru Vodafone UK, 2 year contract. So even though she asked for them to unlock the phone, they refused. unlocked = generally more expensive, this means your iPhone will work anywhere in the world, with almost any SIM card. for iPhone, warranty is still local, and currently not available in most countries. |

lots of people are finding their hacked / jailbroken / modified iPhones are giving them problems.
if you have a 'clean' iPhone, you should DEFINITELY go to iOS 4. |

what? we are still asking the same question?!
there's no antenna issue if you're using the iPhone here in Malaysia! the issue in USA is a combination of AT&T and iPhone4 |

30th Sept. After that, Steve seems to be implying the problem will go away?

@brian81st
the issue is so far on AT&T and iPhone4. customers outside USA seem to have no issues. so ... if Apple points out that other phones also have attenuation problems... theirs is just easier... that's called PR |

is there a Sept list?
AFAIK, Steve listed out 5 for 1st wave, and another 18 (now is just 17 cos S. Korea gov. hasn't approved it) for 2nd wave... 3rd & 4th wave didn't have any list... |

i doubt Singtel, M1 & StarHub will easily sell an iPhone4 to you without contract... where's the benefit to them?
online store FTW! |
