You never take heed to the first warning given to you yesterday and keep posting on piracy.

For second offence, account suspension by LYN Staff.

Please read the RULES again : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=boardrules

Do not discuss, distribute, or link to pirated software, pornography or any other material which is prohibited by any Malaysian law.

The above rules are non-exhaustive. Breach of any rules will result in a temporary suspension of your account which includes all posting privileges and PM access. Multiple breaches may result in permanent suspension of your account.

7 days account suspension by LYN Staff.

Thank you

Guys..this is the main reason why jailbreak is not allowed in this forum due to these forumers not taking heed to LYN rules and iPhone subforum rules and continue to post on piracy.

Please keep reporting these forumers and i hope to get thier account suspended for good if they continue to break the rules.

Read iPhone Usee Guide page 33 on "Organizing with Folders".

This is not a thread for you to compare android and iPhone. We have a forum here for you to do all the debate you want: http://forum.lowyat.net/MobilePhonesandPDAs

Again, do not start another comparison post or flame post. All your previous flame post, post deleted and that was reported by forumers.

Friendly warning..I will continue to delete your post if you keep this up and will request a warning on you. Do it more often, i will request an account suspension for disobeying orders.

Thank you

message to moderator : can we have a separate thread for people having problems with their iOS 4? cos I'd like to help them, but its a different topic already...

personally, I updated to iOS 4... yeah, now waiting around for the developers to *release* their iOS 4 compatible apps... its so cool to be able to keep your place... on a phone!
*
Sure mate..you can proceed to prep the new thread if you have the time and thank you so much for helping out.

Will leave this thread solely for iPhone 4 discussion while your thread will be solely on IOS 4 Q&A's and troubleshooting. Also, no JB discussion allowed and place some thread Rules like the this current thread.

Cheers

*If not, we can still use the current "iPhone Club v11 - iPhone related news & Questions" thread for IOS 4 Q&A's.

i am in US too. Just asked apple and they said it is locked set and selling at 599 usd without at contract.

dear all, what does a lock set means? Is that means if i put in malaysia sim card and it will not work? I heard from the apple salesperson, we still can use it in malaysia but the warranty will be void, is that true?

Please read the guide provided here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/871684

If you guys are worries about these issues you read on the net, don't get the iPhone 4 yet. Stay away till we say its a go.

Let us have the pleasure to use them before you do and we can tell you if everything is working fine after a few months of usage. Then you can rest assured that when you purchase the iiPhone 4, you will not face issues/problems even tho many iPhone 4 users have stated it's working fine in our country but since you have doubts, worries and unsure, just wait it out.

You will get the iPhone 4 not matter what right? It's just the matter of when. Can be next 3 - 6 months time. It's a phone and a pricey one.

Due to them being worried that it will not work because of all those news they read while you and many here are using it and fully enjoying the iPhone 4, it's wisse for them to hold it out.

That's the whole reason why i ask those who are skeptical not to get the iPhone 4 so that we can enjoy the iPhone 4 before they do...lolz.

I do hope to get mine soon but i can wait. My 3G is working fine till now. Not a single issue since 2008. Not batt drain, no EDGE issues etc..you name it.

I think i'll use it as a mircophone (Skype) for overseas client chat and MP3 player for home while the iPhone 4 for daily common usage. Would like to get the 32GB model as i do hav loads of trance music to keep myself busy listening and creating tunes.

Quite the character. So those who decide to wait out are all deemed skeptical? I guess everytime something comes out we all gotta act all kancheong and be the first to enjoy it before everyone else. Whatever happened to being patient, while making an informed decision ?
If you consider the hampering of a PHONE's BASIC function to make and receive calls, or surf the net on 3G, or etc while holding it trivial then by all means. But at least you're acknowledging there IS a problem.

And btw, AT&T is not the only network on which this problem has been identified on;

Optus @ Australia:
http://www.iphoneinaustralia.com/iphone-ne...with-optus.html

Vodafone @ Australia:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjFMhhM2_tg

O2 @ UK:
http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4192...=asc&start=3840
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ3MxQfgfOE
Softbank @ Japan (Not so severe)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TK_2Ac_iCwQ
Consumer Reports already stated its a DESIGN flaw, not a network flaw... Please remember Consumer Reports.org were ALSO the ones that scored the iPhone 4 higher than its main competition.

All im saying is that there is a prevalent problem, and while im very well aware that it does not affect ALL phones, the problem is there. But that doesnt mean it shouldnt be made aware of. People are going to pay a lot of money in this thing, why shouldnt they be allowed to know what the pro's n cons?

Really "Quite the character" ?. Well, if you don't know me, DON'T judge me.

If you feel that what i wrote hurt you in anyway, my appologies. Btw, i wrote it for those in general who is worried about those issues.

Anyway, You decide. It's your money. You can be patient all you want but many of us already know that it works here.

And..thank you very much for those links. It's good that you found those infos. It helps buyers to think twice before purchasing the iPhone 4. Maybe, we should wait for a report from our local newpaper or bloggers if the iPhone 4 does have those issues after it's offficailly launch here. Will be a good way to wait it out as well.

BUT..for many of us, we are buying the iPhone 4 regardless. Weather this year or the year after.

Cheers and have a good day.

For everyones info, we have RULES in LYN and also in iPhone subforum stating NOT to discuss on piracy/links but some forumers just DON'T CARE. They will come in, not read the rules and post away. Some keep doing it until they get banned by LYN Staff.

Quoting my previous discussion with another forumer: It's hard to be positive and have a healthy discussion on jailbreak. We malaysians are so use to piracy and it will never change. Even with the Jailbreak thread closed, we still get forumers posting on piracy and totally disregard LYN RULES and the subforum rules. When IOS4 came out, we have forumers posting on piracy on a daily basis without fail and mods have to keep closing them and forumers keep reporting them hence, we are suspending all Jailbreak topics/post related to it.

We have been getting heaps of reports on piracy discussion and we have a whole list of users using warez and there's hundreds of them in our reports.

It does not matter if jailbreak is deem legal but you may however JB/Unlock your iPhone with the tutorials provided https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1223378 but no JB discussion is allowed.

Back to the topic..Anymore JB related post, it will be deleted as stated in the Rules of the first post of this thread.

@TakanoKyohei

Koptiam style posting. Already deleted his post..Spam post will not be tolerated. Please report them.

Hahaha..This will happen every year, for every generation of iPhones or in the coming months wheather we like it or not. Some just don't read the manual that comes with the iPhone, pinned threads we have or even Apple website itself and hence this question arises every now and then.

For those who are new to the iPhone, please read the manual or download the pdf manual from this pinned thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/868281

Thank you

I told you so right. They will keep asking this question and they never bother to even read the iPhone manual that comes with the phone. Even Apple website has picture on which is the speaker and which is the mic and yet, these question pops up..hahahaha.

@giovanni

I reckon you better read the Phone manual as well.
