Not sure about this but there is no harm in doing a task 29 first.

Don't know if facebook app would cause this. Usually its swype keyboard.

But the bad news is i don't think there is a workaround except for a HR. Can you still access your phone through activesync? If yes, then maybe you can still backup your files.

Lets wait and see what the other gurus have to say about this.

I am not sure but do you get warranty with T-mobile hd2 in malaysia? This would be very important for such an expensive device. Also if you flash ROM alot you have to more careful about the radio as tmobile hd2 can be bricked.

If it is original SIS check for sis sticker behind the battery. It will also show the month/year it was bought. Ask for the box as well and the original purchase receipt.

You can also check that the sticker on the screws inside the phone is still there indicating that it have not been tempered with which would void your warranty.

what about normal hd2 if flash the radio?
*
Normal HD2 can flash both .50 and .51 radio with no problem. Tmous hd2 will brick if it is flashed with .51 radio.

If it not a tmous hd2 (green call button, red end call button and the word tmobile on it) you should be able to flash other radio. Can you please check what rom and radio is now installed.

Is there any where selling HD2 (AP) for lesser than RM1600? RM1600 has been the cheapest that I notice in Lowyat.Net.
*
You know you should also look for second hand ori SIS hd2. It may have been used for some month but if it still in good condition it would be better as you have warranty.

Can you do a hard reset and see if you can sync and power on normally? But your power problem sound more like hardware issue.

Read this thread to HSPL, install radio, rom etc. ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477

Its really very clearly written in this thread.

@anybody:

1. does Palringo work with wi-fi? looks like its new.
2. tried downloading Nimbuzz, but it says that it would only work on WAP.
3. Beejive has no new version, so i'm thinking of trying Palringo. any advice?
4. i'm still using the ol' Winmo 6.5 in case you're wondering.
5. will there be an official update to Winmo 7 for HD2?

TQVM!
*
Palringo works well. Its not new been around for quite sometime.
Never tried Nimbuzz or Beejive before so no comment.

And no there will be no WM7 update for HD2. WM7 will be new with minimal apps as the current apps will not be supported. Its better to jump over to android and see how it goes from there.

If i understand you correctly you are saying that the first screen from the EVO rom remain even after you flash different ROM? And you want to original white screen with green HTC word back?

Task 29 would not remove the first screen. That's why after Task 29 you will still get the white screen with the HTC words.

Look at the first post in this thread---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...t=splash+screen

the default screen from this thread ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment...49&d=1265096591

Flash this and it will only change the first screen and NOT hard reset your phone

noob question, does installing HSPL and flashing the RADIO ROM uses phone storage space?
*
HSPL is only a few MB. Radio replaces the original radio thats already on the phone so it uses about the same storage space not more.

Youtube cache, internet cache, sense cache files in Application Data\HTC folder especially photos and music.

Also make sure you save pictures and videos into storage card.

I would also recommend Miri Rom. Am using it now. It is very stable and bug free. I used to use Energy Rom. It is also very good and fast but got a lot of apps that i don't use. Miri rom are lighter and more suitable for me

Can't help you with the youtube question as i don't use it

Hmm. Never had any problem with GPS with radio 2.12.50 before. Maybe it was just at that moment. You can try and see if it persist.

BTW what rom are you using.
