QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 14 2011, 03:30 PM) XD.....but why u need to pay electricity bills???expensive???i though usually living alone the elec price is only around RM50-RM90 estimation if/without using air-conditioner.. That depends on the type of housemates you're gonna have, and how you decide to split the bill I'm estimating an average of 80 bucks a month per house. |

QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 14 2011, 04:10 PM) so right now UNITEN start to charge elec bill as well???does that mean RM200(shared) per room excluded elec bill??? Yup, you got that right! That's why moolah's an issue now Added on April 14, 2011, 6:04 pm QUOTE(demolationz @ Apr 14 2011, 05:11 PM) Dei, don't over exaggerate la! haha This post has been edited by Seager: Apr 14 2011, 06:04 PM |

QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 14 2011, 06:13 PM) TT....why this happens when i started to enter UNITEN..... They just implemented this system during the last 3-4 weeks of the last semester.then how much per month of electricity u using???i mean just 1 person^^ I can't give you a precise figure as many people weren't in their rooms due to study break, and most people opt to have group studies in the library etc etc. What i can say is, i expect the an average usage of 80-100bucks per house per month. If you have a fridge/induction cooker/etc, and a moron of a housemate that leaves the lights on and uses his lappy 24/7, then be prepared to pay more, unless you can split the bill evenly This post has been edited by Seager: Apr 14 2011, 06:25 PM |

I have plenty of non-Malaysian friends. They tend to say moolah instead of money, it's an Arabic slang if i'm not mistaken.
Got hooked to it, sounds pretty cool eh? Not when i'm saying it, but when they say it it sounds cool! haha |

I suggest you wait for CS sifus to answer that question haha...a bit blur since degree in computer science and degree in software engineering is different.. QUOTE(exentric_nova @ Apr 15 2011, 02:52 PM) Yes. Foundation in UNITEN is like this IT will lead to either Graphic & Multimedia or Information System CS will lead to System Engineering or System & Networking Short story: go back like Seager said. Though to add one more point, to me personally, very comfortable. Except when your roommate decide to unleash a hurricane and chose not to clean up afterward. QUOTE(skycrawler @ Apr 15 2011, 02:52 PM) It's okay la, not bad. I like it |

QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 22 2011, 11:16 PM) what u mean by white formal???for tuesday, wednesday, and thursday can i wear jean+collar shirt+sport shoes??how about saturday and sunday?? I think he means on Friday, you need to wear formal attire that consists of a long sleeved white shirt, necktie, slacks, and appropriate shoes. On Monday, it's always full formal attire day. Tuesday to Thursday would be smart casual.btw, after the orientation week will have 1 day holiday right because 9th only start 1st sem class...so can i return home on that day?? Saturday and Sunday usually no class bro |

QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 22 2011, 11:29 PM) how about if i'm wearing the same formal suit with long-sleeved white shirt+black slacks+PVC shoes+necktie(i thought its given when registration since the fees need us to pay RM50 for shirts) for monday and friday.....about the smart casual,is it possible for me to wear jean+collar shirt on that day??? You can, just be sure that you have one white long sleeved shirt with you. I'd suggest you bring a back up along, only wear white on Friday, unless they told you to wear it on Monday as well, because it might get dirty.thx bro Well, you can't actually wear jeans in Uniten. lol But everyone wears it, just make sure it's not the sakai type, torn here there. Usually during orientation, you'll be required to wear slacks and a collared shirt on Tuesday-Thursday, depending on how strict your facilitators are |

QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 22 2011, 11:37 PM) so that mean i gotta wear slacks during the whole orientation week right????OMG all i got is Jeans(not torn here and there.....of course, doenst look sakai because i'm not the gangster type person)...How about st sem class day???can i wear jean??? As for the attire throughout the orientation week, i'd stick to formal/smart casual with slacks preferably. Though, as i said, that depends on your facilitators. My Fault for not knowing that UNITEN doesnt allowed student to wear jeans during class or orientation week As for the first day, that'll be a Monday, so... Formal You should stick to formal attire every Monday. Once classes start, you can wear jeans on any other day. Just make sure it's a good pair of jeans! |

QUOTE(Zhao @ Apr 23 2011, 03:44 PM) ... I would really appreciate if you could read previous posts. Too many newbs keep asking the same stuff over and over again. lolAdded on April 23, 2011, 4:40 pmHi , nufag here committed to go uniten for civil eng foundation . Coming next Saturday. Any sifu pls give give help. Hehe can i pay whole course at 1 time?? Amanah hostel is ok anot? Juz went ther to check out the scene . I scare very quiet then will become mushroom liao... Ptptn if parent salary >10000 how?? Pls teach. Is cainis populasi ther ok?? But never mind, i'll tell you. 1. You cannot pay for the whole course at one go, you pay per sem. 2. Hostels are okay, it's a nice cosy place to live in. You get to mix around with friends. 3. As for ptptn, if you parents earn more than 10k, you still will get loan, but partial loan. Like me, i only got 70%. I believe since your parents earn more than 10k a month, you can come up with the additional 1-2k per sem, right? I have plenty of indian, chinese, malay, iranian, botswanian, etc friends here This post has been edited by Seager: Apr 23 2011, 06:36 PM |

QUOTE(melvinking91 @ Apr 23 2011, 07:16 PM) its so confusing bro.....because some of the staff in UNITEN just sent me an email said all the tuition fees will not be paid by each sem but it will be instant by the ptptn........this for foundation courses only not for degree programe.... Really? That's weird. It's Uniten's policy anyway, whereby you pay fees by semester.I believe other universities apply the same policy too. But anyway, I've completed my foundation more than 2 years back, not too sure about how things are atm. It's best if you just wait for the orientation, you'll definitely be briefed. You could try calling Uniten directly and asking them too. |
