for smartphones its hard to determine or measure how long the battery will lasts because it depends on how the user use the phone. i can say my milestone can last for 3-4 days if i use it as a phone, but it will only last for 5 hours if use hsdpa and heavy browsing. telco signal strength also affect the battery consumption, the lower the signal, more battery juice will be used to get the signal.
amin_bp: 1. never tested exchange, my company didn't provide the feature. 2. i dont use the keyboard that much, so far its working fine. but there are cases with the keyboard backlight not working. i think u need to play with the actual thing for few minutes (typing email, sms, notes etc) and see if it fits u. milestone keyboard received a lot of complaints mainly because of the design. buttons are a bit small (to make way for the d-pad) and they are not raised like other good keyboards. u may not be able to type fast (because u cannot feel and remember the buttons placement) but it gets the job done. 3. milestone has only 256mb ram, so if u put a lot of widgets on the home screen or have many apps running in the background, it will surely lag. but so far for me it is acceptable, not reaching the 'annoying' level of lag yet. but there are other phones out there having 512mb or more ram and still lags. 4. hardware quality is excellent. motorola really like metal stuff. that is why most motorola phones are heavy. do not drop it and it will last or protect it with some casing. i dont know about brightstar. i myself using starhub set. there are issues with software, alarm bug, music auto playing but i think it will be resolved in the next update. u can fix it now by flashing some files though. i've experienced a reboot once, that was during the phone running at 1GHz and i was tethering using hsdpa connection. the phone got too hot and it reboot itself. if im not mistaken, the design of milestone put most of the chips at one place near the camera. the phone will get hot when we use 3g/hsdpa connection or overclock it. actually the signal issue on iphone4 is quite exaggerated. there are ppl who has no problem using it. |

1. brand new price difference around rm500.
2. motorola has service center in singapore. dunno malaysia got or not. 3. starhub set, if anything happens must go singapore lah local warranty still the best but its too expensive here. we are more likely to get droid 2 (ms 2) instead of droid x. but who knows, if droid x sells like droid 1 motorola might consider making it for the gsm customers.

Mine also has problem getting apps thru wifi but that probably caused by my messed up system. Normally factory reset will fix this kind of problem. Good thing android use memory card, makes recovery from factory reset or flashing a lot easier

Just updated mine to GOT starhub 2.36, with black theme and overclock to 720 (with voltage locked to 56v) during boot. So far so good, the muffled sound during voice calls now solved, hopefully other bugs are gone as well.
Flash your phone with the service version so that all your apps n data are intact. Hopefully froyo is just around the corner |

QUOTE(scpt @ Jul 4 2010, 09:12 PM) GOT's black theme looks nice Didn't managed to get it running at 1Ghz, maybe the voltage is just not enough. Mine will freeze during boot animation, didn't try both 800 & 900 either because i think 720 is snappy enough. Even running at 650 phone is quite smooth. Currently testing 720 for any random reboots.Moves dalvik-cache to /cache too. Been trying to do that lately without success, hopefully this will work, gonna give it a try later |

QUOTE(eizhan @ Jul 5 2010, 03:40 PM) the boot animation runs twice when im running the phone at 650 or 720. then its ok. just wait until it finished loading. if it took too long, probably a good idea to remove the battery and try again. |

my screen with GOT black theme...
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « bar on top left is not a signal bar, its the taskpanel app. so far stable running at 720. back area not that hot compared to last time when on 2.31. everyone should update to 2.36, a lot of issues have been fixed. |

I've been using this home screen before flashing 2.36 and GOT theme actually. Its a collection of custom icons that i got from some1 in nexus one thread, then i used bettercut to put the icon on the home screen. Should be fine with folder organizer as well but i never tried.
I'm not sure why you got ; when pressing ? since its working fine on my phone. Did u get the same issue for other keyboards? |

i flash mine with service version too, i did the backup just in case (only sync contacts to gmail and sms using 'sms backup n restore' app). after the flash, everything is still intact. i can say its safe but just do a backup, just in case
but i think all your phone configs will be reset to default. good luck then. |
