Do we have to, or can we, do anything about the Flash now not working in Skyfire? Adobe now asks to update, so should we just wait for the Skyfire people?

How big is the Goggles app after installed? My memory now full of apps I don't wanna give up, and once Goggles installed, I hear can't delete.

When mem space low (but not full) then SMS freezes. Anyone got a solution?

Wondering if e.g. SMS storage can be moved to SD leaving Handcent to work as usual.
I'm waiting for official updates (2.2 etc) trying to be on good behaviour for Moto. cool2.gif

how does the Flash perform in Froyo?

does it smooth on stock CPU clock?

last time I saw is very laggy, loaded us.playstation.com.. damn lag, using stock 550MHz.. I can't OC in Froyo, got tooling problems
*
For me, Flash in 2.1 is fine with Skyfire. Quite smooth and a pretty big screen. I worried earlier about the message asking to update, but now I know to ignore it.

Sorry if I didn't address questions about Froyo or PS.

what do you mean of the update? why ignore it?

mine also got come out the update message. hmm.gif

Seems like all is working normally. I just ignore the message, wait until the small starting video image comes out then it expands by itself to about 3/4 screen and plays smoothly without problem. Hope it will be OK for you too.

sorry guys,

i read all the threads u all been posting...
try to learn how to make my MS much more smoother...
but still dun understand...

wat's the word "flash" means? hehehe
*
At least three meanings, which are you interested in?

Camera light

Streaming video (e.g. Youtube app or in Skyfire)

Changing the control software

Last one dangerous unless fully understood. (I don't dare do it!)

anyone has any better facebook apps ? the native one sucks.
*
Just open with browser. If video important to you then use Skyfire browser.

BTW the basic camera probably is pretty good but needs better SW support. I really like the "Camera 360" app as it seems to improve performance and features. One fault is the nag screen which opens before shooting. It would be less annoying if it opened afterwards.

Got an alert! Seems like a lot of Motorola update activity going on today. Downloading Media Link and Device Driver now. After one round, don't see any changes in handset SW numbers. I think it just re-installed the synching program on my PC something like iTunes. Can anybody explain what's going on?

@shiloong7081

I'm so sorry, my bad, the Flash video in Skyfire works with Youtube, not Facebook. I guess it is something to do with Facebook not updating their system or Youtube protecting their content.

So FB sux both in the app and the ORIGINAL on Android!

Another one bites the dust....

Cuz Skype is dumping Nimbuzz this weekend, I'm dumping it too. Anyway it's the biggest memory hog I have installed, so I'll have more space for new apps!

New Facebook update -- suddenly the videos working, some via Youtube, others directly!

sad.gif I guess comes with a price; huge memory hog. Moto, hurry up official Froyo 2.2 with SD install!

yep, battery life is definitely superb! And so far random reboot only happened once. Before this it reboots a lot during idle.

Scary! Did this happen only after rooting around and mods? sweat.gif I'm playing safe and waiting for Moto-san unsure.gif

Help! My contacts have all been scrambled, I think after installing Vonage, now uninstalled.

I cannot open the usual Contacts screen, get only one person. I do not see any Contact folder on the SD. I can still indirectly see most of the numbers via other apps, eg, Lookup on Voice Dial gets the correct numbers but I don't know from where.

try looking for vignette, you can get the free version from google, i use it as replacement for CM6 camera, superb, and many things to play, you can even capture full 5mp resolution pic, touch focus etc...smile.gif
*
TQ for the recommendation. I was using Camera 360 and it was OK but I like Vignette even better. Wonder what will happen to the "Demo" version eventually?

I'm using a 3rd party leather pouch made for the iphone. worked like a charm.  rclxms.gif

Do these let you use the slide out KB easily, or are they "just pouches?"

Anyone see a pouch with a clear panel to see the screen or notification lights?

I can't believe my eyes..... why should a multi-national company skimp on using the original popular gorilla glass on a new model? How much could they save veesus the negative PR fallout? Suidcidal? Are you guys sure?!?!?

Old issue: any developments in camera apps?

I tried Vignette; it had some interesting features but not always easy to use and some features withheld because it is a trial version. Gone back to 360.

Motorola Delayed The Release of Froyo for Milestone - GSMarena.

Yeah, bummer but I'm still having a great time with apps available for 2.1 Upgrades might offer some convenience but not critical for use of phone. I prefer to wait until Moto is satisfied that what they give us officially is a fully debugged compatible version.

I've tried Cyanogen 6.1.1 and I have to say I am very impressed. Not bothered to wait for Motorola anymore. Not only does Cyanogen give you 2.2 (well most of it), you get a ton of useful programs, fixes and enhancements as well plus an active dev community improving it. Even if Motorola releases 2.2, I'm sticking with Cyanogen now.

I'm really glad to know that our phone's system is so flexible and that many others are taking full advantage of it.

Just to reassure some present owners or potential buyers, even 2nd hand -- don't worry.

After reading about all the perks of 2.2 and the apps for pay, I'm not impressed -- none of it motivates me to face the hassle of rooting and reinstalling ROMs. I still read help messages out there complaining about bricked Milestones. What I have now with 2.1 is enough and perfectly usable so I can wait!

Very tiring editing my contact. Why when i click edit, there will be multiple google account with the same name and phone number? How can I delete the multiple account? Thanks in advance.

Try Contact Analyzer app. However, dunno how your Google affects it.

I had big problem, nobody offered any solutions, so bite the bullet, edited my Google contacts (yucks job) only then contacts OK again. BTW do backup but that may not solve all future problems.
