u want wide or u want tight...??? (mcm berirama la plak)

depends on ur usage bro...aperture wise 50mm but wideness 28mm wins....

50mm u can get f1.7 which u cant get wit the 28mm but u can get 28mm view using 50mm by moving around unless u in tight space, tats my noob opinion la

Aperture wise its much different eh? Already play around with tammy 1750 's f/2.8 and love the bokeh. I take it 1.7 is more bokehness eh. brows.gif

donno how to say,still new to dslr,just own a500,lot to catch up,not much ppl use a500 o?will upload some pic later,need cnc tongue.gif

Put both of the lenses on your camera. Which one looks more 'ngam' to you? That's the one that's more suited to your way of shooting. There's no such thing as one lens is better than another unless you're talking about a really cheap quality glass.

When I first got the 50mm on an APS-C camera, I liked it. Then I saw the 50mm on the FF. I loved it! That's the difference. I loved the fact that a 50mm lens can afford you to shoot almost everything without you having to change lenses.

It can shoot people across the table from you, do street shooting with no problems, do portraiture and even small groups with no hassle. It can also do low light without flash.

A 50mm prime will be more sharper compared to zoom lens.

and u get a bigger aperture and can play around with the DOF.

my noob opinion la.

and 50mm f/1.7 or 1.8, what you think?

Yeah its back to wide and tight eh. Since already got f/2.8 might as well play with f/1.7 .
