absolutely agree on that, which is why i went for this photoshoot, as this area is where i am lacking.. but opportunities like these doesnt come by often.. even if they do, they dont come cheap..

its called 'hair light', its a normal thing in modeling photos, to give separation of dark hair against a dark background, if its light hair, it gives more shine.

make sure you get all bulbs of the same kelvin. mixing kelvin ratings will make your white balance go haywire. best is to get daylight-rated bulbs. then you will be able to use it efficiently with your flash.

not sure how you wanna use the converter, but i use photoshop to do my editing and conversion
