Uzu, u bounced up with a diffuser? see the shadows under the old lady's hand? that's the telltale that the light came from the front facing side of the diffuser... if you have a chance to try out, try removing the diffuser and bounce the same way.. you'll get a pic with a different mood.

for people shots, i judge WB using the skin tone. if the skin tone is good, the rest will be fine.

i usually diffuse it when the room is large enough for the side-spilling light to bounce off from, creating an 'envelope' of light around the subject, hence a more natural light. if its a small room, i'd slide on my big bounce card, spreading the light outwards, or if your back is a wall, bounce on it, works wonders!

ahpingko, what u mean cant go 300mm? On the lens marking or the exif file? I never had this problem before.

in that case it should be body issue, its just the distance notification chip misaligned in the camera, no issue in lens performance one. Coz it never happened in my a100 and a700 before.
