If you have xRecovery installed, just recover the latest backup you made. That simple. If, however, you DON'T have xRecovery installed, we can still recover your dear phone, don't worry Using PC Companion: Connect your phone to your PC and turn it on. Look around the update phone section of PC Companion for an option called "Repair your phone". Just follow the steps and your phone will be in working order pretty soon That's about it, I'll probably add a section for custom ROMs in the future, with links to ROMs I recommend. I have tried to root my x8 by using this SuperOneClick program and it keeps not responding.
I also keep getting the "Waiting for device" message. Is the SuperOneClick program not compatible with my phone? It just seems that it freezes and does not want to respond to my mouse clicks. I am a bit of a newbie in the understanding of rooting Androids. |

Good news for X8, bootloader unlocking almost complete. We can expect more custom rom using custom kernel...

Just want to share to u guys the custom rom that i used
its called GingerXperia V5 (V6 already release but got lot of bugs, so right now not recommended) i've used various custom rom before (GingerDX, GingerCruzt, FroyoBread, GingerFroyo, Hackdroid, etc), n this is my favourite. its got multi touch and overclock build in, so no need extra works the battery life so far is the best compared to other rom (my personal experience). can last 1-1.5 days smooth, it use timescape UI just like in the latest xperia mini n mini pro. timescape is not provided in this rom, so u have to manually flash it and u will obtain both timescape and infinite view at the same time. have a nice day |

Hi all,
Not sure where to post for this, but my X8 is on the fritz, and apparently I got an AP unit (whatever that means). SE support told me to take it to the guy I got it from (at LowYat Plaza, apparently a mistake), and get him to replace/fix it. The question now is: What if the guy is gone? Do I have no way of getting it fixed? I payed way too much (RM1080 last year November), and got ripped off with the Warranty too. My instinct is to punch out the idiot that sold it to me, because I feel like an idiot for getting duped, and because I got sold a unit that can't use the local warranty. The name of the guy's shop is Original Accessory Sdn Bhd or something. I don't head in to town often, so not sure if he's still in LowYat or not. (Third floor, I think, across from a DiGi store.) Sorry if this is in the wrong forum (Maybe the mods can correct it?). Cheers. |
