hey finally bought a Blue 5800! TS pls add my name.. tq..

Anyway got some questions adi.

1. Get back double-tap
In the Application folder, b4 this i will need to double-tap icon to launch an app.. e.g. double tap Calculator. But after I create a new folder, suddenly it only needs single tap on icon to launch app. The question is how to get back the double-tap? I want to double-tap to open app..

2. Make music player scan certain folders
Is there a way to make the default music player to scan certain folders only? I have some ringtones but i don't want it to appear in playlist. If i create playlist, i need to select one-by-one the songs that i wan to put in!!

hello sifus out there,i will buy 5800 tis 2 days. from what i heard, ap set imei number is different from the box?and do not have the sirim logo. is that true???i got a friend bought 1 5800 and is red casing but the theme is blue. ???????

Its normal in AP phones. What matters is the phone IMEI is the same with the one stated on their warranty card. Since they will accept the warranty based on that.

my friend bought his 2nd hand 5800 which is an ori set and he tried to update it
bt he couldnt.... the firmware is still at v20 n the phone code is 0570196, which surely can update the phone rite?

0573786: APAC1 Black MALAYSIA
0570196: APAC1 RED MALAYSIA
0570197: APAC1 BLUE MALAYSIA

Since yours is in the list use alternative way to update

like OTA or NSU

if phone is original can always send to nokia centre

he should be able to update, which method he used to update? via pc suite?

That's the one homescreen for 5800, you can change it in Settings > Personal > Home Screen > Home Screen Theme

For 1:
Double tap is only required during List view or in Gallery. If you want double tap, you can change your Menu view to List instead of the default Grid.

For 2:
The default music player cannot do that, I've heard some other 3rd party players can do that but I can't remember the names nor I tried it before.

for question 2, you can make your music player scan certain folders only by using '101FFCD2' mod... You can download this mod here :
 101FFCD2.zip ( 439bytes ) Number of downloads: 2


- right after you download that, edit that file using notepad where :-

>> 0x4 string - folder that shouldn't be read/scan (music player will bypass this folders)

- you need to put this '101FFCD2.txt' to your phone "C:\Private\10202be9\" folder (phone need to hack 1st and unlock system folder using RomPatcher)
- then restart your phone
- make sure you refresh your music library once before playback else it will play all the music files in your phone and memory card

guys, which custom firmware did you use ? mind sharing ?

i currently use minima 1.2 by oreo27. the fastest CFW ive ever use so far.
i've used pirates CFW, the amount of free space in C is quite spacious, i like his CFW, but i prefer minima 1.2 since i like my phone to be simple and neat.

how bout yours ? mind sharing ?
