zz Cannot find perfect C6 CFW.. each got flaws...

BTW, whats the app that you use on PC that lets you extract SIS files? I need it urgently. (Its freeware btw, just forgot its name)

im having a problem with my phone today....the phone hang while i forwarding sms n i restart the phone....then all my inbox n sent messages all gone.....any way to recover back the messages? y does this problem will happen?

i solve this problem by reformatting my memory card to FAT32. Never happen since then back den every few weeks all sms gone

then is there anyway 2 recover back the old messages? i did the restore backup from memory card but no use...

from my experience answer is No. I tried it also cant get back its just like vanish. so remember to backup often

i put auto backup every week but when restore backup also cant get back the old msges.....haiz.....y ah....

Then should set back up daily. I've just set every midnight.

Guys I've found out the problem of Chinese input or characters problem in C6 cfw. It is the font. You need to insert a chinese-supported font into ROFS2.

The thing is which is the suitable font? I've tried export my 5800's DGfont, integrate to C6 CFW, things got worst. The whole phone language gone hairwire. Onlu show square square. Any of you have solution? For proper display of Chinese Character?

sigh, anyone suffered this problem when flashing their fw to xtension^10 cfw. I've googled this issue - nothing. Asked their forum - nothing. I did everything religiously/step by step. Still cant fix this problem.


Says i need to unlock the screen by using the keyguard switch at the side. I kept on pressing but it still wont unlock. Only way to get around it was for me to pull out the battery and restart the phone. Made my phone really buggy and f'ked up. Any suggestion or anyone experienced this?

Just wanna ask, is there anyway to download youtube video directly to our 5800?

Xtension ^10 is NOT C6 CFW. Only C6 CFW have the feature of swipe unlock. ( i dont really get your problem, is it cannot unlock, or dont have swipe unlock? )

Added on August 29, 2010, 1:38 pmDG? You will need to replace every single file that has to do with fonts. For 5800 its .r01 /.r159 for english, and .r31 for chinese. For C6 cooking, i think its the same Language files are not only in ROM:\Resources\Font its also in the messaging folder, private etc etc. Try XploitMachine's method of adding the English&Chinese files, or maybe PNHT's RM612 language files. Then add your English-Chinese supported font into the CFW.

Can you post some samples of pictures taken with your 5800? Try some day shots, some night shots, close-ups & buildings far away.
Does 5800 have built-in flashlight to help take pictures at night?

Also, what extension are MP4 files, is it .MP4? I have bunch of MPG & AVI files, what software do I need to convert them for the 5800 phone?

Yes, i do realise that c6 and Xtention cfw arnt the same thing and they dont share the same swipe unlock feature. The story went kinda like this, flashed my phone, the thing restarted, booted up till it got to that screen and it kept blinking at the top screen saying "Locked" I did press the side button ( keyguard switch) and it wouldnt unlock the screen.

Your phone is 5800? Which Xtension, ^10 v1 or ^10 v2

yep, 5800 rm-356, downloaded the Xtension ^10 v2. I dont know what went wrong. Downloaded the original v51.006 fw using navifirm, downloaded the cfw which consisted of rofs2/rofs3/uda. Like i said earlier..followed the guide religiously - renamed those file to suit the original fw to overwrite it. Did it soo many times I lost count of how many times I flashed and reflashed my phone.
