it's called style conscious ... i for one chose baggi+ helm on dober set bcos i just hated the horns of dober helm. ( baggi+ helm is not exactly best looking thing also but it had FastCharge and 3 slots )

but somehow the horns looks ok to me when paired with Vangis set

About the purple and green weapon, i always choose purple because
it grants me more raw. If you like affinity and your default affinity is
high, You better choose affinity!

About the bowgun, try making medium bowgun with shield and no-folding.
I know a way, but it's better if you check it on your own.
Oh yeah, the shield here only purpose as a damage reduction. You still
get damage from enemy, but lesser than usual.
If your weapon is folding, your sheath AND unsheath time will cost more
time. And the folding is like shit here(it's so slow compared to MHFU) so
avoid making folding bowgun.
