don't think so, I think RAT5 should be around Imperator price.

if really want to get RAT...dont touch the 5...go for the 7.

the RAT5 should be using the same sensor as razer lachesis.
RAT7 sensor meanwhile is same as razer imperator / mamba.

based on what i know, rat 5 may be the best bang for buck, because rat 7 has some risk to take, because of the sensor that the device use. if i still remember some post that i read about in other forums.

the sensor that rat 7,9 are using philips twin eye sensor that has problem with Z axis tracking. well, something like that. i forgoted. Maybe the sensor problem has already fixed, but currently now i have no futher information regarding to this. i just have to wait for reviews, and see if anyone suffers from this sensor.

rat5 is also philips twin eye...like mentioned the same one that is used in the razer lachesis...which is of cos older than the 5600dpi version as in the mamba.
the 4000dpi one was bad...
basically what it will come down to is how cyborg writes the firmware...or if they even have continuous updates...
cos razer has of cos reduced the jitter quite abit with the firmware upgrades given on the mamba.

So simply saying, as long as they write decent firmware to correct any problems with the mice, the RAT is a good and safe buy?

possible, i think it is up to the review people put on them to see if any of them suffers from this. plus, razer used the sensor couple of times on their product and they manage to write out a decent firmware that "almost" fix the problem.

If i'm correct, madcatz is using this sensor for the first time? i think i will have to search alot of reviews before i will buy this.

and by the way, does anyone here brought cyborg gaming mouse before? well, i just wanted to know if madcatz release their firmware occasionally or once a product out, they release a firmware, and will not be updating anymore. i fear of things like this sweat.gif

mamba slimmer than DA...
so shape wise no harm since design is almost same as DA
but mamba is weighty at the palm area
