Well if you looking to expand to a more English based player club, yeah Richards is a good choice. But Kompany is the defender giving hard time to the strikers due to his height. Since we need midfield cover, De Jong is actually an excellent choice. He and Benayoun also somewhat a runner midfield, but De Jong are more to like Makelele, heart of the squad!

I just hope Torres DOESNT come to Chelsea. Not only will he rot, i personally feel he and drogba cannot work well together. Everyone will expect Torres to do well, and he won't. and Drogba won't play so well as Torres is getting all the attention.

besides the injury which are not expected, at least the entire 1st team except ballack are still there ...

the injury to our key players especially drogba and cech will definitely hold us back from a flying start but im sure our reserves can hold on until our big guns are back.

i still think that we are going to reinforce though. we've been doing business in the dark lately and suddenly, poof! we get a player under everybody's noses.

i wouldnt be too worried if i were you, Chelsea FC, the players, the coach and the owner is aiming to stay champions in the coming season. we will at least get another first team player, even if its the overrated ramires.

the only thing im worried about is our goal keeping department. not solid enough. might cost us. hopefully they will step up and hang on until big pete returns.

I dun believe Yossi will be the only signing coz Roman still will want to win the BPL and CL next season as it will be tougher when teams like ManC and RM strenghten their squad so much..

i also believe that ancelotti will bring up the youngsters, we'll see the likes of ann holt, kakuta, borini, di santo, sturridge more this season.

like i've mentioned, i'd prefer this way instead of getting hitmen so united and pool fans can get off our backs about buying titles and all that crap.

how can pre season be frustrating when our main players isnt playing. if cech, terry, ashley, lampard, malouda, drogba and anelka played in pre season games, maybe our pre season goal tally might be around 15 by now?

Hahaha, but the thing is that, if Chelsea do switch him over with Carvalho, where do we fit him into? He did mention he want to play regularly. I doubt we gonna get him cause we have one of the greatest midfielder, summore is English.

Hahaha.. Yeah sometimes he does keep ball to himself instead of passing around.

As for the pre-season result, it doesn't really worry me that much. I only worry about the injuries we currently facing, Cech to be precise. Like others said, we have no decent backup and our current backup keepers just not up to standard. Maybe they just came back from holiday, who knows. Drogba injured, got Anelka, Kalou, Sturridge. Alex got Ivanovic and Mancienne to cover. Cech injured, alamak.
