based on my personal view
bad performance Lampard (worst day for him) ferreira impressive performance; Malouda Mikel Essien MOTM ; Malouda Added on August 29, 2010, 12:11 amquite impress with Mikel this season, if he continues like this, he will be our next star very soon.. Ramires debut failed to impress me; Essien has beeter build and pace than him.. but he definitely play better than our frankie tonight.. This post has been edited by sanfa: Aug 29 2010, 12:11 AM |

QUOTE(sanfa @ Aug 29 2010, 12:08 AM) based on my personal view ramires has only 6 minutes in his debut..and hes doing the holding midfielder... i would say he needs more play time to prove and if not..hell he has to shift to another squad numbers since 7 might be giving the jinxbad performance Lampard (worst day for him) ferreira impressive performance; Malouda Mikel Essien MOTM ; Malouda Added on August 29, 2010, 12:11 amquite impress with Mikel this season, if he continues like this, he will be our next star very soon.. he might not be given enough time on field, but I'm talking bout his build.. I think he have rather small body to play at essien position.. being play as a DM need a good physical I suppose..

LAMPARD TO HAVE SURGERY
QUOTE Posted on: Sat 28 Aug 2010 Carlo Ancelotti revealed Frank Lampard will have a hernia operation this week following our 2-0 win over Stoke City. The Italian explained the medical department tried to manage the problem during the week but after the player felt pain during today's game, and was substituted in the second-half, he will now have surgery. The procedure is the same as Didier Drogba's recent hernia surgery, which saw the Ivorian striker back in training after only seven days. It does mean that Lampard will not go on international duty with England. 'He [Lampard] has a problem on his groin,' explained Ancelotti. 'He had the surgery ten years ago and this week was not very good. He also didn't feel well in the game. 'So the only solution is to have surgery this week, maybe he will do this Tuesday or Wednesday. It means he is not able to play for the national team. 'He'll be ready in one week or two weeks. We have experience because it is the same surgery as Drogba and Drogba took one week before he was able to train. 'It is not a big problem. It is very easy surgery but he needs it because he started to feel pain.' Good Luck Lamp! |

no wonder lampsy's penalty was so tame. his penalties are usually stronger and carlo shouldnt have let him stayed in the game that long. but regardless, i still think it was a good win. we were quite solid in defense and we took our chances when we attacked.
give credit to stoke because i see almost all the defenders being very very organized in defending. its never easy to score against a parked bus like that. alex made another last second defending which really impressed me. malouda continues is goal scoring rampage. anelka is still giving all the defenders a hard time. terry as usual is flying into tackles with his legs and head. ashley bombarding forward dangerously, mikel and essien is ever so composed in midfield. yes, i too see that mikel is becoming a very top player very soon. the more games he plays, he better he is! didnt see much of ramires last night so i think its better that we dont judge his performances yet. but i think he is going to adapt quite well despite his really small physique. all in all, 3 points in the bag, thats what we want. Anyone else thinks Mikel played brilliantly last night?
Everytime he manages to shield or protect the possession the crowd applauds. Very very good ball control shown by our number 12. This post has been edited by kink_ass: Aug 29 2010, 04:17 PM |

I'll make Real Madrid the new Chelsea, claims Jose Mourinho
QUOTE Jose Mourinho makes his competitive debut as Real Madrid coach today in Mallorca, promising to leave a Chelsea-style legacy. The former Stamford Bridge manager said: 'I want to install a philosophy in Madrid that future coaches will only ever have to upgrade. 'I'm very proud to see Chelsea still winning. I like to leave my mark at the clubs where I work. Ancelotti has found everything in place - good working conditions, the right working mentality, a squad that is good for 10 years. He just needs to add a new player here and there and his own ideas.' Food for thought. |

i dont know much about jose's era but thats a way too cocky statement against our current coach. yes, jose definitely has built the core players but his style of play is definitely different from carlo's. from what i've read, jose usually shut up shop after 2-0? how is that the same philosophy to the football carlo is playing now where we dont have brakes!

Jose has his own style of football. But I can tell the current style we're playing, definitely not his style. Carlo Ancelotti brought his own and we have 3 awesome game with more than 10 goals in 3 games. I'd say Jose can win all three but he definitely won't have that many goals in hand. The biggest win during Mourinho's era can't even compare with Ancelotti. Now, this is ATTACKING football with style
