i did check on the spot. Problem was, I think there is a dependence on the light levels. Remember that the 7D now has the iFCL which is supposed to be also "color aware".

I'm not sure if this has much to do with the hit rate.

I also note that If I shoot open wide, this becomes a problem. (I shot at f4 and it was OK / Better)

Ianho : Microadjustment. I need help leh.. I also don't know for sure how to do it right. You can help to teach ah? I tried, looks like my 24-70 needs -7 or -10 to get sharp and this is using those focus-test-chart thingy. It says needs 45degree angle, I don't have tripod, how to do??

I just sent the cam to canon, I also don't know how to tell them. If I screw them up kao kao, the may screw up my camera for "revenge" (and also it will make relationship susah right?) So, I do a little of both, I screw then I pretend like very "cham" (which is true mah, imagine, how to get good shots?)

According to canon, what they do is, they "zero" it based on their "chart" and they were asking me, "so, should I based it on your pictures? (I printed out those pics and show them)"

I'm like... How I know? All I know is I need the lens to be IN FOCUS!!

Friends all.. how to use MicroAdjustment Feature?? Who can teach me to get the BEST sharpness?

It's very subjective when you're shooting Walls or newspaper or those focus-test-charts leh....

Yeah man.. I agree. I was up at 5am doing my photo processing and was cursing all the time and esp when I open up DPP (i just found out it's nifty feature of showing the AF points in focus) and was vomitting blood.

I then tried the focus charts and was nearly going to hang myself.

Goldy : Apa ni? Tak boleh boob kah??I no tripod man.. after 3++ years of DSLR, still don't have an actual usable tripod. The free one long rosak and too light.

I managed to get my cam back from Canon yesterday itself. They "reset" it back to my original settings since I told them "before I send to you, it was even better!!!"

Anyhow, I'm going to try Micro AF and be made a little insane later. Now have to look / do my office weekly report.

Niewoo: Wooo... so much moolah ah.. 3 new lenses? 135L = Rm3K, + 30mm 1.4 = 1.5k, what is one more ah? Really kena lottery ah...

Honestly, I think those concept stores will not be able to give you good pricing. (I think)

Why don't you search the forums? There's a pinned thread on prices. Did you try there?

Added on June 13, 2010, 9:52 amANyone has any recommendation for a Sync Utility? Something that you can click for automatic syncing of eg: Folder D to Folder C for backup purposes of in-process photos?

This would be good for backup of 2 copies

Added on June 13, 2010, 9:53 amI am trying Microsoft synctoy but like it's name. It's like a toy and not really working well leh..

the read and write speed is important for these factors

1) Write speed important for getting the pics from your camera buffer into your card so that your camera buffer can be cleared FAST. If your card is slow, be prepared to wait for the buffer to clear until you can SPAM the shutter again. (takes as long as 2+min during one of the tests I did. Google LYN for mynick I guess..

2) Read speed when tranferring your data from your card to your PC. You're now limited to USB2.0 USB speed of 480mbps which is MAX theoretical 60mb/s, but you will average ~max 30mb/s. Hence, that speed is also important so you don't have to wait long long for the pics to finish copy to your HD.

I just did the AF adjustment --> http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article...adjustment.html

my 24-70 +3
My 136L -6
my 30mm 1.4 +3

I wanted to do my 55-250, then when I started, I found.. aiyah.. no distance scale. Dunno how to see if the focus is spot on.

Oh well...

time to sleep.

AF quick mode is also like contrast detect mode which is basically lifting up your mirror.
