The justification is subjective. I wanted to get the VC version, but found out it was over my budget, no choice but to stick with the non-VC one. Plus the mechanics of the non-VC is nicer.

Sharpness or whatsoever, I can't comment as I've not done side-by-side comparisons.

Was thinking like that too!! Been throwing all my fund into crop lenses.

10-22, 18-200 only ef lens is 50mm f1.8

Now, deciding between siggy 30mm / 50mm f1.4!!

I already have future plans for 30mm~ biggrin.gif
cuz i know it will be more than 5 years + for me to own a FF
so what hell~ laugh.gif aim for 30mm~ tongue.gif
besides~ i find 50mm on crop (which is equivalent to 80mm) abit to tele for me sweat.gif

today i found EF 50mm f1.8 II lens at The Mines, it is price at RM295, is that a good buy?

OK la, usual price around there. In LYN cheapest is RM 290.
No pirated one la. doh.gif
Only grey set or Canon Malaysia set.
Grey set is not covered under Canon Malaysia warranty lo.

I doubt so.

Anyway, free UV filters are usually inferior in quality, either pay a little more for a decent Hoya one, or negotiate to reduce to price for not taking the filter. smile.gif
