Yup. For each decks, you can unlock a number of cards that have been assigned to that particular deck only. No transfer of cards from deck 1 to deck 2.

Well, I unearthed an older version of the game from the 90s that had all the haxor cards from the early imbalanced sets, and I could create my own custom decks (cause the preconstructed ones sucked anyway). Think I'd skip this then due to the rigidity of my deck building.

It's the game of the same name from MicroProse, am I right? I can still recall how it stole all my sleep away & caused me to fish in classes.

On one hand the game mimics the actual system very closely. On the other hand... it does give the absolutely wrong message that bigger decks are better.

It makes me cringe whenever I look at my deck size...

I find that AI is overpowering me... the AI can get 2 new cards in during his turn.

Also, why the heck the AI got 7/7, 6/4 card while my card is just 1/1, +x/0 etc????????????????????????????????

green deck have big creatures, try to kill them straight with black spells, or disable them with white enchantments.

It depend on your playstyle. Each colour has its very own personality & this will determines how you play the game. Red is very aggressive with creatures that are immune to summoning sickness but with little health. The spells are usually burn, burn & burn, especially at destroying lands. Therefore, don't let your opponent Green own too many lands or you're going to get steamrolled.

the pure red deck hardly has any land destroying spells.

the pure green deck on the other hand has lots of land acquiring spells and creatures.

i cant remember how did i beat this ai. i remember i use stock black deck "eye of shadow" - easiest.
stock blue "mind of void" - alternative, a bit risky.

start with this 7/8 cards on hand or restart the match

at least 1 terror card/deathmark(1 mana)<- recommended but stock deck only have 1 card
destroy large creature which threaten u, like wurm 5/4, 6/4

1 rat card, or skeleton
-use them to block incoming creature attacks, skeleton can be regenerate so u can use them to block larger creatures. rat discard 2 opponents card, very useful to discard opponent larger creature cards- use them after opponent left with 3-4 card on hand.

1 corrupt - deal 1 dmg to opponent for every card he /she draw.
-use this to bleed the oppenent dead expecailly green players, and use ur skeleton to block your his/her attack.

the rest are land (3 recommended) or creature / spells

Added on October 6, 2010, 11:43 amred deck have 2 land destroying cards "earthquake" (locked - expansion 1)

in this game, i feel black is the most annoying and most powerful deck. but in 4 plyrs FFA, black players are going to get killed first.

red are good in 1 on 1 and u must finish off the oppenent after 5 -6 land cards.

white and green are stalemate decks

blue decks are turtle deck, and hopefully they have enought mana to counterspell

i'm not sure what deck I have. I just played all at default. I dunno that I should choose other deck color
to play certain AI. lololol

yeah, my red not much health... easily dead...can't even block anything...

oh by the way, i played this game on xbl winter arcade 2009 bundle. so i cant really remember whats the full stategy. if i m not mistaken i have unlock 90% of the cards, took me 1 month nonstop.
man this game is addictive

try playing the tree huggers deck, u can easily cause 40++ dmg in round 12. to bad i didnt keep any record.

Sorry quite new in this game. What tree hugger? Elves? Beginning to like Heat of Battle cards as well... great burst finishing.

yes silly. to be precise "ears of the elves". u can produce ridicules amount of elves and u just wait for the opportunity to cast overrun.

Hurm.. this is weird. In my decklist, there's no Relic of Doom deck. Is it usable? If not, wasted my money already T_T
