Anyone have any guide on how much experience is needed for each weapon to level up to star? Loosing too much stuff at the moment because of upgrading and need a much better guideline on how to do it efficiently. And whats the best weapon for each character?

Haha.... ok.
Not really necessarily do that... No fun at all like that...

If you are not at Chapter 11 or beyond chapter 11, don't bother to upgrade weapons to star. There were people finished the story without upgraded weapons.

You may refer this website to know the multiplier value of your component.
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of...y_XIII_Upgrades

Every time you upgrade weapon, first upgrade it to have multiplier x3 by using Organic Components, then use the best Electronic Components to 1 time upgrade to star, of course this might need some calculation, else you can refer to the general upgrade guide at page 1. Remember save it before you upgrade, you can try with the best combination to save your resources.

Already at Chapter 12 / 13 where you have that teleport machine to go to Eden Hall / GranPulse. Any idea which place is best place to farm? And i was trying to complete some mission but its so hard to get them finished in sequence. I cant even locate Mission 7. Anyone have any detailed guide on the location of each mission?

The 3 and 4 sacrifices near the teleports are pretty good for gils if you can't do tortoise yet. Kill them and run to either wings just below the sacrifices and they'll respawn.

And for the missions, look here

Thank you so much for the link smile.gif

I can only take down the weakest tortoise (not sure whats the name but definitely dont have that tortoise name tongue.gif) at the moment. Trying to get some items to level up my starred weapons but some are really hard to find. So, looking to either complete some easier mission or farm. Now farming in GranPulse but not sure whether Eden Hall would be a better choice tongue.gif.

Besides, i am seeing some yellow colored (instead of blue) markers at some places in Gran Pulse. Any idea what are those? Usually i can jump at those markers but not the yellow ones.

Yellow colored ones are meant for you to jump with a chocobo. Without it, you can't do it.

Is it just me, or I find it very annoying to get to Faultwarrens only through a Chocobo? Like I can't walk through it or something.

Damn I hate the Tonberry Trio.
*
Wow...How do i get a chocobo then tongue.gif Only after end of game?

I don't really remember it anymore, but first things first you'd need to beat Chapter 12 to unlock the oasis with Chocobo's in it (So that they begin to roam around Gran Pulse). After that, you need to keep searching for marks to beat ( that should lead you to defeating Sahagins at the Oasis) and the cutscene should roll out.

Sorry I forgot what mission number it was though. huhu.
*
QUOTE(nwk @ Jul 12 2010, 11:39 AM)
you can only get chocobos by completing a mission in the plains that will unlock the chocobo sanctuary. the mark in that mission is hard to beat unless you have leveled up your weapons and your characters, because it is one very big monster, dood.
*
Thanks. Is the monster the BIG vocanic type monster roaming around GranPulse? Cause i tried to find him but cant seem to have access. Guess i need to max out my weapons and crystarium first then. Dont feel wanna end the game too early tongue.gif

Just finish the story first, then you will find it interesting when you trying to 5 stars all the mission. Those missions much more harder and challenging compare to the final boss.

Mission 7 at Yachas Massif - Paddraean Archaeopolis there, walk futher into that map, then you will found it, just nearby the mission 6 cie'th stone.

Added on July 12, 2010, 12:25 pm

That big volcanic monster location can only be accessed by a chocobo, the entrance is nearby the 6 cie'th stone location.

You can ride on chocobo after you completed mission 14.
*
Wow..Thats good. smile.gif In that case, i am gonna finish up the story then. Probably not long to go as well smile.gif

Ya, go ahead and finished the story and unlock the highest level of your crystarium.

Great. Any idea which character has haste except Sazh? Or is there any haste enabled equipment?

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Jul 12 2010, 03:35 PM)
I don't know if this is luck, but to share a tip on Limit Breaker trophy.

I was fighting against Adamantoise last night and I used Vanille. Tried to do Death trick on it. I summoned Hecatoncheir and disabled both its legs. After killing it, I got the trophy. Any chance that I broke the limit when I summoned Hecatoncheir.
*
I got my Limit Breaker trophy earlier when i use Bahamut on a staggered monster. smile.gif

Alright. Good as well. Currently using Fang, Lightning & Hope smile.gif and i do not want to use Sazh, but currently only he has haste and at times, its helpful smile.gif

I assume it's the best FF series with awe-sumh graphic right? Please don't tell me it's the best plot in all of FF franchise. blush.gif
*
Personally for me, of all the FF games i have played, this is very good. Storyline wise, i still rate FF7 and FF8 ahead but this is not as draggy as those mentioned. And coupled with awesome package, and easier to understand / play compared to those smile.gif

You are not the only one, dood. I also hated the fact the we can only control one character while the other two just go on doing their own business.
*
I for a fact, like it that we only control 1 character. Its easier to play and understand, but still a fast pace battle, compared to previous battle where you need to wait and decide what to do.

One thing i hate about this 1 character control is that, while its good for Commando and Ravager, others are basically not as useful. Something like Medic, when at times, you rather them revive dead party members but instead, all they did was to cast Esuna to take off some poison or such, and for Saboteur whereby you would hope they do better with Death or such sad.gif

Can the weapons be brought forward when we load and play for the second time? I tried once but to no avail. Hundreds of hours being poured and I couldn't bring those weapons forward...Anyone? Any ideas?
*
If that can be done, wouldnt that made you overpowered right off the start tongue.gif

It goes well rewarded when one is playing the same for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. When the Stealth Item and the Bandanna is being rewarded. What's the purpose? Self satisfaction. I rarely use the Stealth Item even after I obtained it playing in "HARD" difficulty setting.

From your posting, it means I have to spent hundreds of hours again? Sigh...it's a disappointment for me.
*
Well, i am personally not sure about FF13 but the previous FF series that i have been on, i never remembered one that have a similar feature. So, i dont think its available on FF13 either.

Anyone knows of any way to see what missions we have completed and at what star? I have finally finished the main story and looking to complete the side missions but i have totally no idea which mission had been completed previously. I skipped a couple and did them randomly at that point. So, is there any list about which missions had been done?

Thank you so much. That just saved me so much time tongue.gif I was skipping through some missions yesterday until i reach a part in GranPulse where there is 7 - 8 Cieth Stone there, where, everytime you access the mission, the huge monster will burst some smoke around. There was one mission with a flying monster there, that spread so much poison / debuffing skills. Any idea how to kill that?

Where is the easiest place to farm for CP at the end of the game? Wanted to farm one monster where i met before the last boss (2 monster) that actually gives 30k CP but i cant seem to reach that section in the map anymore. Anywhere else to farm CP?

Wow, i tried farming for the tiara, following the guide to get sprint shoes and unable to get any, even i 5 star for over 7 times. Not even a single drop from the Mission 7 monster. How do you guys made it drop stuff? I even equipped my character with the connoisseur catalog at star level.

AFAIK, the mission reward is access to the R&D Depot Shop, or something like that. How did you guys get your sprint shoes anyway? I just gotten the chocobo. Would search for some treasures. Gotten the "a fluff of wool" or something like that. Whats the use anyway?
