There is an incredible but expected announcement which I hope there is no delay is that FFXIII will be out in North America in January 2012!! I am so happy that the english release is only a month away from the Japanese version!! Can't wait!! XD

I sure do hope so.. which I am not sure.. I thought Lightning is going to make a full come back and I am so excited until they announce about the searching quest for Lightning that we all come to love..or at least make her a hidden unlockable character. it seems like our party now is noel + serah + monster... I saw hope's boomerang, his white strip yellow jacket and his longer hair!!! Ooo.. The nostalgia rushing all over my head~!! I really do hope.. lol.. that i can have Hope in my group instead of just a cameo.. I hated when its only cameo.. And that mystery man is so darn cool.. My hot blood is pumping yet again~!!! Woot!
But there is one thing I do not understand why people keep saying Hope is whining like throughout the game? At the end of the game he did not whine anymore and stood for the team and himself.. I wonder how many of those nasty commenters really play or finish the game.. Sigh.. This post has been edited by lilko: Aug 26 2011, 11:37 PM |

This might appear to be a spoiler... Its a big giveway of who Noel really was... Something that makes me feel very heavy but not unexpected....Got a feeling this is coming.. I am not sure if SE is going to reveal such info to players in their plot summary either when introducing the game in TGS or any convention or at the back of the box.. Anyway.. Open at your own risk.. You have been warned

QUOTE Time travel is a major part of Final Fantasy XIII-2 and players will be able to use the Historia Cross system to move through space-time. Each area has gates players can activate, Dengeki PlayStation explains. Once these are turned on, Serah and Noel can travel to different periods by standing on a gate. Some areas have multiple gates to trigger. You will use these to find out of place artifacts, which your moogle can use. Gates only stay open for a limited amount of time, but players can reopen them if time runs out. It sounds like collecting parts is a core part of Final Fantasy XIII-2. The magazine has a screenshots of Bresha Ruins, which says "Fragment 0/8." Another screenshot shows Bresha Ruins through time where in the beginning of Final Fantasy XIII-2 (AF 005) it’s lush and brimming with life. At AF300, the area is in ruins. Serah’s search for Lightning is the heart of the story and Lightning is in Valhalla. She’s a guarding Etro’s temple as a knight and fighting Chaos Bahamut. Noel, the new character who travels with Serah, met Lightning. His goal is to change the future. Siliconera |

QUOTE Final Fantasy XIII-2 has a time-travel system named Historia Crux, which allows you to travel back and forward through time to different space-time locations in the game. The game’s director, Motomu Toriyama, compares it to a “home menu” that is at the heart of Final Fantasy XIII-2 story. You can go forward in time, but also rewind it, to replay areas that you’ve already visited. SiliconeraIn a Square Enix Members interview, Toriyama says: “You will be able to freely come and go between all the areas; the game will provide not just simple environmental exploration, but also a multi-layered exploration of history through the Historia Crux.” Elaborating further on the Historia Crux, Toriyama says that it will branch off into multiple routes depending on the player’s choices. Routes you take will have detours that you can go on to find side missions and secrets. Exploring and experimenting with the Historia Crux will allow players to uncover the game’s various multiple endings as well. “The flow of areas accessible via Historia Crux has been structured so that all of the player’s actions and decisions will influence the gameplay,” Toriyama promises. That said, if you want to stick to the game’s main story and not explore the different space-time locales, that’s possible, too. In Toriyama’s words: “Casual players will be able to use the Historia Crux in a similar manner to browsing a favourite website — picking and choosing between all the different links available.” The creation of the Historia Crux for XIII-2 was influenced by fans who wanted a less linear experience than the one in Final Fantasy XIII. Another point of fan feedback that was taken into account for XIII-2 is that side quests are available early on, rather than only being made available in the second half of the game. Toriyama says to also expect “many strong and colourful mini-games” that you can access whenever you want by visiting certain locales via the Historia Crux. Finally, another aspect of Final Fantasy XIII-2’s heavy focus on time travel is encountering familiar characters in different situations, depending on what time period you’re in. Since the main cast of the original game is returning, you’ll be able to see how they’ve changed over the years. Beginning of AF(After fall) Hundreds of years later AF QUOTE Famitsu has a preview of Final Fantasy XIII-2′s time travel system known as the Historia Cross in the game. Before we get to that, the magazine also shared the game’s prologue calling Lightning "she" during the introduction. SiliconeraBelow is a story that is sort of going to be told in the beginning of the game... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Noel tells Serah they can open gates by collecting out of place objects known as "O Parts." Once you open a gate a compass of space-time appears and you can use the Historia Cross to pick a period and location. ![]() Image below are sort of Spoiler taken from the game.. Well, thats what I read... But not that it matters cuz I am going to get blown away by it again the second I watch it on my HD TV.. Lol.. Still, if you are sensitive to spoilers.. Here u go.. Be warn!! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « FFXIII-2 getting more exciting by the day... Although I dun like the future thingy but... Oh well.. Its super super gorgeous and huge to ignore... Very glad that this time around atleast they put some heart into the production... XD Added on September 9, 2011, 3:39 amI am going to say this again... Another day another news... TGS is drawing near and there will be tons of spoilers...lol..
Anyway, no nid worry for those who wants to keep the story a surprise.. I put up spoilers up for you guys... but there is one thing that I do not like hearing is that the game will actually be "abit" shorter than FFXIII.... If thats true then I would welcome the rumored FFXIII-3 but hope they release it after FF versus.. And it seems like there might be DLC for this new FF installment... QUOTE Final Fantasy XIII-2 director Motomu Toriyama has provided a big hint about when we can expect to hear the game's final release date. During the Q&A session of a fan event held in Tokyo over the weekend, Toriyama was asked by attendees for a more specific date than the currently announced December timeframe. He responded "It will be announced at Tokyo XXXXXX." The number of Xs in his response -- at least as Famitsu.com transcribed it in its report from the event -- matches the Japanese word for "Game Show" (which is just "Game Show"), so it looks like we'll get the date next week! Tokyo Game Show may also be the revealing grounds for the identity of the mysterious man who was shown in a confrontation in Valhalla with Lightning during the game's first trailer earlier this year. Square Enix's PR department said to expect this info from next week's big event as well. Other points mentioned in the Q&A session: Asked if they're looking into releasing download content, producer Yoshinori Kitase asked a PR person "Is it okay if I say?" but was denied permission, so he instead said that they're actively looking into it. Asked if we'll get a limited edition, Kitase said they're "really actively looking into it." If you have your XIII save data, you'll get some bonuses in XIII-2. As previously announced, XIII-2 has a monster raising component. Your characters are built up using a new growth system like the Crystarium system from the original. Your monsters have their own growth system which is similar to this. You'll find over 150 monster types in the game. They all have unique inputs for performing their special skills, so those who aren't too good with action games can select a monster with simple controls. Asked about the game's length, Toriyama explained that just looking at the story volume, it's a bit shorter than XIII. However, there are all sorts of additional play elements this time, including the time travel, the fragments, and lots of mini games. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Development on XIII-2 is currently at 90%. The game has been in development for a little over one and a half years, according to Kitase. Andriasang This post has been edited by lilko: Sep 11 2011, 04:28 PM |
