Got my PVR juz now
It can record 290 Hours of SD............
I wonder anyone here tried recording only HD 1080p and see how many hours it take to fill the 500GB HDD sweat.gif
btw, not all HD channels are in 1080p rite?
I bet FWC is sweat.gif
*
Astro only broadcast up to 720p/1080i only. Maybe have to wait 3-5 years later to get 1080p. smile.gif

I saw one yesterday night about midnight or something on Astro Supersport channel.. Quite funny ad with those people (4 to be exact) with their heads replaced with the "Play, Pause, Rewind, Record" icons.
*
This ads so creative. I like it. thumbup.gif

You're paying for the installation. Do you really think the PVR costs RM300? It's much more than that.
....
Why installation for byond PVR are so expensive? Normal byond just only around RM100. hmm.gif

Then again, why don't Astro replace TV3 analog feed on B.yond to digital version? At least it's better than before. icon_idea.gif

To save their transponder bandwidth. nod.gif

Hi all, i just subscribed astro b.yond. every channels are working except for the newly introduced channels  AXN HD, FxHD and Zhi Zun HD. Do i have to subscribe those or it just comes with the package ?
*
AXN HD & FX HD currently are free except for Zhi Zun HD (need to subscribe dynasty package).
Try put your decoder on standby mode at least 10-20 minute for update purpose.

For sure, Astro will not broadcast on 1080p right now. That resolution need bigger bandwidth.

Very misleading leh, what we need is coaxial in optical out. Your picture is optical in, coaxial out!

QUOTE(Joey Christensen @ Jun 23 2010, 10:27 AM)
From my LCD TV information window menu, it was shown 1920×1080i
*
1080i means interlace. Its different with 1080p (Full HD).
1080p is commonly use in Bluray.

1080i: 1,920x1,080 pixel resolution. High-definition picture that is displayed interlaced. Each odd line of the picture is displayed, followed by each even line, and the resulting image is not as smooth as a progressive feed. 1080i is therefore a more detailed picture suited to documentaries and wildlife footage, but less suitable for action-oriented material such as sports and movies.

1080p: 1,920x1,080 pixel resolution. High-definition picture that is displayed progressively. Each line is displayed on the screen simultaneously, therefore it is smoother than an interlaced picture. This is the ultimate high-definition standard -- the most detailed picture, displayed progressively.

With byond PVR, you can only record on decoder HDD. Cannot record to External HDD right now.

I think, we can't trust all of what CSR person said...  sad.gif

It's already happened to me... when I asked them, can I do slow motion play with B.yond PVR? ,

He said that I can't do slow motion with B.yond PVR, and he even add some more, with PVR, I only can record and watch back the program that I have recorded  rclxub.gif

I think they also donno what function available on PVR.., or maybe they don't have time to explore it...

But when I asked here in LYN, suddenly someone said that I can do slow motion with PVR, and he also teach me how to do it....  blush.gif

Astro CS are sucks. Last time when somebody call, they say red button for world cup 2010 cannot be turn off.
That proof they know nothing except you ask them that you want to subscribe a new package. sweat.gif
