Anybody managed to link their Astro account to their login ID at the new Astro website? What's the added functionality after the link up? I didn't manage to get the activation code after a few tries, maybe coz I'm using a TuneTalk number.

Here's the story, I have a LCD with only one HDMI input. I bought a 3in 1 out switcher (not splitter) so that i can use my HDD media player as well without plugging in the cable in and out.

Problem is that the Astro input doesn't allow audio through when using the switcher. It passes audio just fine bypassing the switcher. I changed the switcher to a new unit, same results. I used another brand switcher but with same results also. The funny thing is that audio passes through just fine with my media player.

I am perplexed as the there is nothing wrong with my astro, my cables, my tv or my switcher! What can it be then?

Any help sifus? 

My B.yond service was interrupted since 18 June but no further feedback from Astro when will I get back the service. Problem settle within this morning after I brought the complaint to NCCC and MCMC. Don't bother to call Astro CS anymore, just send your complaint to either NCCC or MCMC and you will get immediate feedback from Astro.

normal/stereo audio. did try the digital audio, but also the same result.. no audio.

they can remove the FxHD.. it's totally crap and filled with outdated series such as Seinfeld and Boston Legal (sorry fans ).. Heroes is ok though, so does Flash Forward (is it on FxHD or AXN HD, cant remember).

i'm waiting for more HD in variety to upgrade my package (only add rm5 get two extra HD and few SD )

For the moment if they can give Discovery HD itself  I wld definately ejaculate.......      words of praises  !

astro beyond now in my house. woots. now can watch football and movies in hd. nice ! anyway. HD is for all HBO, star movies and cinemax or only HBO?

I have tried this, I disconnect the first cable and let only one cable go through it., and no signal at all can be received by PVR.... 
But when I tried to connect the old decoder (not Byond one, normal SD decoder), and it can received the signal... signal strength also very good! I got 78 for AGC.. 

unfortunately, same result as the first one happened... 

It means that, Byond PVR will only worked when we connect the 2 cables on it....

So "sensitive" lah this things...    Cannot bring it to everywhere you want .. unless the dish at the place you bring in, have Byond dish coupled with 2-in-1 LNB...

The two cables is because there are 2 tuners.

Does anyone know why there are 2 usb ports ?

bro..ur last sentence..does it mean whoever gets Byond PVR cannot use the decoder with normal dish?
for example..i am using normal byond..i can use when balik kampung and connect to normal astro dish..
so PVR cannot is it?

if use PVR...can only use the recommended external HDD? other brands / size cannot use?

thinking of upgrading to this but the ext HDD sold for this is only about 320GB max...

How much did you guys pay for the WD 320GB External HDD for Byond? I was quoted 400+. I think it's too much.
