That's HUGE dish... ohmy.gif
*
yeah, that's C-Band...
Not effected at all by rain like Astro....
you can use 5ft or 6ft dish instead, but bigger size dish will give you better signal...
That's why Astro use Ku-Band.., it's more easier to set up and more affordable...
And also, to prevent the user from tune to C-band satellite.... biggrin.gif
If you go to Sabah, Sarawak, Indonesia, Thailand, there are many big dish on top of their house...

Hi Talljustin,
Can you guys from Byond software team, give back the function for manually record and set the own preferrable title for the program that i wanna to record, just like what MAX available some time ago... notworthy.gif

and series recording for PVR seems so "rubbish" (sorry if i use strange word here)... I tried to record from series linking, but it doesn't work at all sad.gif

Agreed! I might want to remove my HD service as well. But I think we need to pay penalty fee of RM 10.00 for package downgrade as well. Rm 30.00 per month of additional subscription fees are too expensive.
*
yes, RM10 penalty will be imposed...
but it's one time charges only.... smile.gif

this 3d thing astro is doing is to show what they can do with the hardware they have la..... nothing more. to be the first. maybe also to retain sports subscriber from cancelling their sports subscription. if you noticed, the astro byond ad has changed from lampard & messi to torres.. and at the end, with logos of other sports broadcast, eg. EPL, Serie A and many others... retention...

I had  done it before, but beleive me nothing so great to say, if u havent bought one then dont waste your money, to me I saw nothing great compared to a normal cable of less then RM100,cos what is fed in does matter, if what goes in is not quality then we dont see anything to say Monster cable was better but on your DVD player u can see the difference ! flex.gif
*
Thanks for your feedback! biggrin.gif
If like that, I Will use my existing "cheap" component cable bought at Giant for RM35 instead of highly overpriced monster cable.... shakehead.gif

my friend subscribe sports channel during world cup. recorded many matches. after world cup he unsubscribe sports. Recorded stuffs can't be viewed now if you unsubscribe!!!!! WTF
*
Do your friend read Byond PVR FAQ before he subscribe for it?? hmm.gif It's already mentioned on PVR FAQ... nod.gif

PVR "captured" RAW Pure digital stream that is still not encrypted by the smart card in the decoder...

It's different from MAX which is, MAX "captured" the already encrypted data stream by smart card.., that's why, on MAX, you can watch the recorded content, even you did not subscribe to the channel that you already recorded...

haha..very funny..
The Eric Chew guy on Astro FB now complaining about the RM10 recording fees..
Before this talk so much on how good Byond PVR was..
Now got problem complain only..
Even before this when people complain about Astro services he would help Astro out and talk like spokesman for Astro..
Always backup Astro..now let him feel it..haha  laugh.gif
*
I feel really "pity" to him.... doh.gif
doesn't he know that if he take Byond PVR, RM10 monthly fees are compulsary.... ohmy.gif
Eh, but if i'm not mistaken, he keep said long time ago that he upgraded his Max to PVR, so it should free for one year, isn't it??? shakehead.gif

U means astro can broadcast IPTV via satelite?  hmm.gif
Satelite stuck with limited bandwidth compare with fiber.

BTW, I think our government only award IPTV license to TM. Kroni  sweat.gif

and it can only be enjoyed by those who stayed at Elite Area.... sweat.gif
