I mean account for individual since I have a company there. company account already have. I need personal account for me. possible to just walk in and get it open on the same day?

Not sure. You have to ask the banks over there. Just go to the bank which you have company account with and ask for own account with them. Show them proof of company account to increase your chances.

I wouldn't say no problems...it was easier in the past... opened mine the day after 911, just walk in show passport and opened...

Lately, many banks don't want to open for you...so you have to shop around a bit....St Georges will....

For those trying your luck at other DBS bank to open account; save the hassle and just go to MBFC to open a DBS vickers trading account.

No need to be working in Spore, no need for Spore address.

This was last year or so:-
My colleague Msian, did that; went to other dbs branch to open account but was rejected, so went to DBS vickers to open trading acc; they go ahead with ur application means they will ask u to open DBS bank account straightaway there.

I had DBS bank acc for quite some years now, only last 2 weeks i dropped by Spore to open a dbs vickers trading account.
CDP account approvied, sgx everything approved. Now just waiting for token & pass from mail.

Opened mine in Victoria, Dandenong branch. Opened earlier this year March only.

Is your name in the company shareholder ? Like director ?
Or do you have any investor permit ?
Or do you have work permit issue by MoM under ur company name?

If yes, you can open any account in Singapore , albeit need a referral letter from your own company

Yes, I am the share holder and director of the company in SG but I dont posses investor or work permit.

oh, then try to open citibank account in singapore.. any foreigner can open but minimun is $5000

can i open a joint bank acc with my gf, who is currently working in SG? I am based in malaysia, not working there.

Is it possible if only one of the person in joint account have other SG bank account that can FAST transfer to the account?

For Joint Account Holders: do a funds transfer via FAST from the respective applicant’s personal account (i.e. the respective account must bear the individual name only) with another bank in Singapore

Just print out the form, fill it up and walk into the selected maybank branches (not all malaysian branches can do this). Let them post it down for you. Whether rejected or not you will know within a month. Just call them after 2 weeks to enquire about application.

i did it previously through maybank private banking...no need visit the branch....

oh of course. if only everyone has private banking, that would be just great

You don't need to have priority/private banking to be able to open bank account in SG. Just that priority/private banking
1) improve your chances
2) make your life easier as you don't need to go down to SG.
