i rawk! lol

btw, been doing some research.

in mhtri, artisan (sharpness +1) is a high ranked skill that is hard to obtain.
in MHU u need 10 points to activate while in MH tri you need 15

crazy right? if u want to slot it into an armor u would need 3 x 3slots (+4jewel) and 3 x 1 slots (+1 jewel).

and in mh tri (based on gs weapon tree), only 2 GS reach purple sharpness in the entire game (both needing sharpness +1) and those weapons are from the 2 "last bosses" of the game.

it's kinda imbalance coz it forces players to kill the bosses for the "best weapons/armors/jewels".

in MHU most of the weapons can reach purple.

seeing mhtri weapons/armor makes me feel like mhu is much more superior stat wise.

diablos gs max in tri is 1008 raw, white (with sharpness+1) but can have water damage added with awaken skill.

diablos gs in mhu is 1488 raw, purple (with sharpness +1)

omfg... diablos gs isnt really worth making in mhtri. still a solid gs and it looks even better than mhu version... but still... the stats.... ugh..

Actually in the whole entire game:

1. Only 3 armor sets activate sharpness +1, and 2 sets are actually the same except low and high rank
2. Only 2 sets of armor nets you HGE, and both again the same, except 1 is low and the other high rank
3. Technically you only need 1 GS (end game) for the entire game for a GS user
4. GS damage has been nerfed, but added ability to KO monsters

yeah and you need to "grind" to get special charms if u want to further customize ur armor set.

the 2nd last boss armor has only 3 slots if not mistaken...

Added on July 13, 2010, 1:20 pmhow to win using gs in 3 easy steps

1. run like an idiot avoiding damage and looking for opening
2. when theres opening either charge your gs or give it a quick attack
3. roll, keep your weapon and repeat till the monsters dad

120th rathalos atm and hammer is still owning as hell....
second goes to HBG biggrin.gif
third GL lol

using hammy on rathlos is a constant cycle of repitition... i wonder if i could even stomach killing 20 more rathalos solo with hammy.. rather used GS for a change.. heck i even tried using DS.. LoL~

QUOTE(gaeryn @ Jul 13 2010, 10:28 AM)
HBG is good... but I have some problems fighting fast moving monsters.
*
but using HBG on rajang, nagacuga and kirin is the best/easiest... u just have to let go of the melee mentality and holster that HBG if you are not using it.. its all about the timing, aim....and PATIENCE!

Some info from this week's famitsu taken from 2ch. Will be constantly be updating this post when more info appears on 2ch.

!!Updated the bow section!!
!! Updated the Dual Sword section!!

- There will be 14 types of weapons this time. 11 from MHP2G and inclusion of Slash axe and changes to old weapons. Bowguns will be based on MHP2G's system (no seperate parts) Note: How they come to 14 puzzles me. Unless they will be revealing new weapon types or it's a typo.

- Infrastructure mode will be the same as MHP2G. DLC quests.

- Evil Jaw (t-rex like monster in MH3) looks like it's confirmed, Lagia and Ancient Dragons aren't sure yet.

- Water battles omitted.

- Kanji, Hiragana & Katakana can now be used to name your character (thanks to the Famitsu survey it seems)

- 2 Otomo Ailus can be your companions and there will no longer be Kitchen Ailus.

- Power ups before a mission will be available at the open air hot springs.

- Can't transfer save data from MHP2G but there will be bonuses for having the save data.

- Gathering spots will be fixed unlike MH3 which was random.

- Some monsters has a stamina gauge, just like MH3.

- Big monsters will eat small ones to recover stamina.

- Slash axe will have poison element and stamina attack (KO attacks)

- Dual swords now has an upgraded power up mode (Kijin mode). The new upgrade for Dual Swords is an additional Kijin gauge. You can charge the gauge when you attack in the regular Kijin mode. When the gauge is full, you can unleash the powered up Kijin mode and your attacks will be stronger and movements faster. Looks like you also get new attacks while in the new powered up mode.

- Hunting horn can now play music while attacking and an inclusion of a new front and back slash attack (cutting damage). As you attack enemies, music notes are built up and you will get the bonuses when the correct combination of notes are collected.

- Gunlance has quick reload that can be chained to a full burst attack.

- Light bowgun can step like a lance after firing a shot (MH3)

- Heavy bowgun can fire while crouching. In that mode, multiple shots can be fired at once and you can't move.

- Bows will have a new shot type, "High angle shot" basically lets you shoot the arrow upwards and the volley of shots will hit the enemy when they land. This "high angle shot" will have spread, concentrated and burst shot types. When you're aiming, a circle will appear on the ground indicating where the arrows will land. Think of this as an arrow shower type of shot. It can also drain monster stamina.

- No changes to great sword but damage might be improved.

- Tachi (not taichi!) aka Samurai Sword, has the left/right step and slash attack like MH3 depending on which direction you are pressing. There will be 4 levels of gauge which can be strengthened by using the final 360 slash in the special attack (r button).

Recoil not so much a problem - mobility and reloading. I'm still not used to GS, Lance, GL & HGB yet, need more practise.

Oh crag shots tongue.gif yeah it does KO. Funniest KO moment I had was crag shot at Kushala and my felyne companion goes up to whack his head with hammer and Kushala gets KO'ed LOL.

Well that's because you still not have Narga X set yet I assume. Just wait til' you have one and HBG is really gay with Evade+2 & Evade Distance Up, if you dare, you can use Adrenaline+2 for fast kill.

There's a lot set you can mixed up and I give 1 example like Narga X set just replace the helm to Blango Z (recomended to Female character) and gemmed for Auto Reload, you will get Evade+2, Evade Distance Up & Auto Reload. Buy HBG/LBG that got many type element bullets you can shoot.

Good Luck cool2.gif
