Gogo good luck

It's been awhile since my last quest on Elder, Im more like Guild Quest since more challenging and item $_$

U need the rare items, do those hunting quest in G-Ranks. Seriously the droprates are much higher than those single bosses and it's damn easy to kill in hunting quest. Their life is much shorter!

Added on June 24, 2010, 3:51 pmMHU doing elder first has it's benefits. You can get better items faster but if you prefer challenges, go for Guild quest all the way! Elder's bosses are too easy for you if you started from Guild in the first place. Anyhow, for newbies, focus on upgrading your farm if possible (and also up your hunter rank so you can upgrade to higher level farms) and if i remembered clearly, there's 1 weapon (For each type) that you can upgrade till quite high level using just materials from the farm.

Eg: Hammer : Onslaught Hammer -> Final upgrade is Juggernaut Hammer i think.

Hehe no rush for me I'm farming and making each blade master/gunner armor as well as weapons.

Hmm...I could try that i guess, if i can use a single weapon throughout the whole fight.

I couldn't believe myself when I fight Guild Silver Los using Hammer... It's just took me around 15minutes or so.. that's so fast ....hammer overpowered LOL

my strategy is play elder first till got diffcult quest then move to guild quest..1st i will make long sword then make hammer..hammer so much fun to use..eventhou it is hard to use in the begining..plan to learn lance,but it is hard to master..btw did u guys play original or download one?..coz i oni play download..XD

Lol.. Now u know. Hammer damage to the head is higher, thus leads to faster killing speed for Los. But it is only useful against bosses like Rathian and Los.. Try fighting G-Rank diablos with Hammer and u will surely curse like hell already.. Hammering the head = Bounce, your speed is too slow to match up to Diablo's charge attack and you can't block.. One mistake and ur dead!

Yes, hammer is my fav weapon! (Kaeza: Wah, that hammer thing at Genting you still remember lol.. Hammer FTW! )

Learn up charge pound and the spinning golf swing attack and learn to time yourself with that. It's useful against bosses that are taller than you and it can deal quite a lot of damage as well. Triple pound is not that useful at times, since when will you ever get a boss standing there letting you pound all the way? (Other than KO/stun/paralyze of course). And Hammer = HEAD all the way! If you don't have head to hit, hit the side of the leg to make the boss fall. Eg: Khezu, Rathian, Los will fall sideways if you pound their legs hard enough.. Earning you lots of free hits on the head or wings.

blos rears head back to charge, run up right in front of his face and whack the head and roll between his legs - this works for his first few steps forward too.

its like playing jousting (without the horses and lances)

Elder Kitten not challenge enough, try Guild Quest, when you start reach HR 6 and above, you will feel the pain but more satisfaction(spelling check?) ahah.

Yeah never try on Diablos yet because I just use LBG/HBG spam piercing and pellet on them and I rarely Crag or Clust since it's wasted and take time to reload (element ftw on certain boss).
As you said before, marathon quest more worthy than solo boss. I just need Azure Set U before can enter dual Gold Ian and Silver Los coz their's screams will kill me in no time.

GS? yup nice idea thou but based on damage I think Hammer win since I hit the Silver Los and he keep stunned/stumbled to left side then right side. Funny to watch it hehe and
my felyne also want to show off with his hammer and stunned the Silver Los like I did..it's rare but worthy to know that he did something.

I always off my cat when using GS.. for charging reason...hate when monster face him instead of me during the charge.

Still working on GL skill, last night I managed to take out marathon quest HR 6 with GL.. phew need more pratice!!!
