I call up Streamyx today requesting help on my slow 4Mbps BB line. They (Streamyx Help Line) say it was normal because 4Mbps users was first to slowed (throttle) down when server congestion. They are now migrating 4Mbps user to a new server but it's going to happen at the end of the years. I just upgrade my Streamyx 1Mbps line to 4Mbps around 1 Month plus. Now I need to wait for another 2 Month (plus paying monthly bill) to see whether the condition will improve. I was wondering can Streamyx even do that or is it another Fair Policy Usage (I personally don't think it's fair because I pay more for 4Mbps line). I have 3 x Streamyx  1Mbps line at the place where I work and it's all working great.

It is not normal. Until the end of the year or possibly later, why are people still continuing to pay the full rate while not being able to use their 4mbps when they are awake in the day? You said you've just signed up for it but you'll have to suffer for this until they get things right? So when is it going to end?

Not to be biased and fair in my comments..
Streamyx seems to be very stable the past 3 weeks since last month.
Ever since they lifted the daytime cap on speed, everything seems smooth now.

It's reliable enough not to consider any backup now. Hope they keep it this way. If they can, no other broadband providers will be able to equal them in coverage, speed and pricing.

1mbps more seeds/peers connected compared to 4mbps and suck all my 1mb connection...

Direct download, all at normal speed...

Yeah I really want to know about the lower speed packages too.

They seem to be more stable than the higher end 2mb/4mb packages although slower.
Somehow the slower package users get more money worth with what they pay for with speeds almost full speed most of the time.

Feel 2MB connection is much more stable than 4MB. No disconnection or whatever

Difference is only a mere RM10.

What can you buy with RM10 nowadays...
