QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Jun 22 2010, 05:14 PM) how about multi tasking with i3 ? will it lag? or causes lower performance ? since its only have 1.3ghz and turboboost until 1.7ghz Erm im assuming the Core i3-330UM @1.2GHz can be OCed from its 133MHz Bus Speed to 166MHz like the i7-640um.. So 166MHz x 9= 1494MHz ~1.5GHz There's no turbo boost on the ULV i3 neither the Normal i3.

Hey guys see this M11x R2 Core i7-640UM OCed with Turbo Boost and Without for GTA4 Benchmark http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-...-may-think.htmlUnbelievable without Turbo boost its like 2 times for FPS gain! So i guess buying the M11x with Core i3-330UM and OC it is as good as the Core i7-640UM(Turbo Boost Turned Off)

QUOTE(Evirober @ Jun 27 2010, 02:28 AM) Dear Guru's I am interested on getting the Alienware M11X with the i7 spec with 3 years complete warranty. I know this thread is pro alienware but at the cost of the product do u think its worth while to products comparable outside (i.e ASUS) Thank you M11x is a different line of notebook which can be categorised as a ULV notebook. So expect slower processocing speed compared to a fully fledge notebook. The M11x is meant for those who needs portability(battery life and weight though 2KG ) and performance(Decent Graphic card Nvidia GT335M) all in one package.

QUOTE(Cyclone87 @ Jun 29 2010, 12:24 AM) I notice something when compare my M15x running on i7 720, to M17x running on T9600@3.1ghz , the i7 just not as smooth as my t9600 when i browsing inside my computer files. Stealth mode is off. Well.. you're having ur T9600 running dual-cores@3.1GHz surely would feel faster compared to the i7-720QM which at dual-core should be about 2.4GHz. From anandtech forum.. 1.60GHz Base 1.73GHz Quad Core Turbo 2.40GHz Dual Core Turbo 2.80GHz Single Core Turbo @Mr.Docter Poisonned of getting M11x R2.. But no $$.. wow~! not glossy! great Added on June 29, 2010, 9:24 pmwow.. someones review http://www.notebookforums.com/thread233194.htmlAmazing how the Core i7-640UM works.. this fella's stable OC with 164MHz FSB OC 164x9=1476MHz=1.47GHz - Still lower than SU4100/SU7300@1.7GHz.. Turbo Boost 164x17=2788GHz=2.78GHz Well seems that Dell allowed up to 166MHz OC.. This post has been edited by Eugene91: Jun 29 2010, 09:24 PM
