Can share how to read and what eaxh means?

find your car owners manual, and check the recommended oil. there they would have stated the minimun api rating to be used for the car.

its the first book i read every time i collect a new car.

most 10/30 oils are mineral based ke ? ya meh ?

I argued this with two sc, they said , cannot be 10/30 all campro based engines ,they pour 10/40. When i showed them d book, they kept quiet. So, i didnt go back to them....
I finally found one authorized center, that, the moment thry saw my car, they said...this cfe engine, and cps , must use 10/30. If not long run problem. Dah dua kali service dah, pakai 10/30, 10k oci. Car runs well, though starting 12th, might need to slow down....cant risk the summons by d new system already...

Exora bold is dat good. I've no oil leaks, no issues, on d highway, running at 140, d car doesnt feel like its at speed. U only realize ur speeding when u start flashing others to get out of d way

your oci should stick with manufacturer recommended mah. regardless of what oil u use as long as its decent and meets the manufacturer's spec.

i think the debate was, even if u use fully syn, some quarters say, fully syn, whack until 10k. but u should still change it at 5k.

some oils, people know would already degrade by 4k, dont use lor. ( like n@$@ oil maybe.)

sorry bai... i would stick to car manufacturer's recommended oci .
assuming you use a reliable engine oil ( it might not be the best in the market) , it should be able to serve you based on the recommended oci. which is by mileage or duration of months. .

at the end of the day, assuming your car under warranty, the warranty is provided by the car manufacturer , not the oil manufacturer. so. of course follow what car manufacturer say

this nearly happened to me, i went to two different sc before i finally found one who knew what they were talking about.
what i did, a few days before i planned to send my car for the first service, i went to the sc that i was planning to send it to and asked, what oil they have in stock and what not, just to do a bit of rec'ce ,
they told me, exoras, pour 10/40 , when i argued with them about the service book asking for 10/30 , they said the book is wrong, i told them thank you and good bye. then i went to an authorized center, the one that usually does my dad's car, and the moment he saw my car, he said, oh this car cant use the normal engine oil, must use 10/30 , he didnt want to even pour 5/30 .

just because they are ,mechanics at proton service centers doesnt mean they are trained by the factory. the f***ers are half past six most of the time. hence i rather send the car to the authorized center where i can stand next to a mechanic and observe his work.

i would prefer not to send my car to a SC where i cant observe their work...

what engine are u running ? cps/cfe or iafm/vanilla ?

whats the recommended oil for that ? isnt it supposed to be 10/40?

is it someone has x-stock a lot of 10/30 oil and sl rating is obsolete soon ?
