oo..let's say i download apps frm internet to my laptop..then how am i gona to transfer to my phone?is it hve to transfer to astro by using usb?but how?hehe.. blink.gif
*
sweat.gif
use the usb cable provided... once plug in, choose the option as disk then the computer will recognize your hand phone(SD CARD) like a pendrive..
then put it anywhere you want... safely removed it
Use ASTRO to search for that file... that's all...
Astro is used to locate your files and etc as Android does not come with a "windows explorer" app

Thnx.

i think i can i just simply guessed it means instead of seeing a smooth white sheet of white background, i will see the white background with "pixels" on the whole white background like watching TV with my face directly in front on the TV screen...  blush.gif

hmm.gif

Anyway, u bought the anti-glare from? Price?

(err... wrong section to ask this question rite?  biggrin.gif )
*
yes, like what you said..

i bought from boxwave.com, quite pricey because it's in USD.. 13USD to be exact..
features are anti-glare, fingerprint free(one of the features i want), etc..

desire really got this problem?? need to reboot all the time to get it working smoothly again? sounds like windows mobile.. yikes
*
only him la... it's not as bad as he said.. most of us are happy with it.. i will have this issue IF i use too much task killers, since i don't use it very often anymore, my desire is smooth like baby's bottom biggrin.gif
definitely better than windows mobile, don't worry

never used an iphone b4 so i cant compare that.. htc desire dosent have an equalizer at this moment but the sound is decent indeed.. perhaps its my earphones but similarly to my previous phone which in 5800xm (on the same earphones)... the rear speaker on the Desire is not that awesome, just nice for notification..  this is which i prefer : Htc music player, tunewiki ... but tunewiki is really battery draining indeed.. fyi, tunewiki is a social media music player which is cross platform.. previously i used it on my s60v5.. iphone has it too.. and now android has it..
btw.. anyone using the live wallpapers and task managers? how much difference can u feel when using and not using live wallpapers (ie : Nexus one Live wallpaper)?
*
to add..
there's doubletwist player which is like iphone's and i quite like it and mixzing which is recommended by a lot of ppl...

to plugingbaby
i have task killer and live wallpaper on... what's the diff u want?
it still runs smoothly... of course live wallpaper drains more batt

I bought a matte screen protector and the colored pixelation is really bad on a white background. Screen also looks darker and less vibrant - felt like tearing out after 10 minutes, but I'm the type who keep car keys together with my phone in the pocket smile.gif

Anyone bought Martin Fields screen protector? It costs about RM120 for 2 pieces and is supposed to be much better.

Added on June 10, 2010, 8:40 am

Saw it in Singapore a couple of days back. I think it's 1500 maH and costs S$30.
*
quite a few Aussies ordered martin fields and they liked it though it's pricey

QUOTE(KTCY @ Jun 10 2010, 09:41 AM)
I saw Martin Fields screen protector stated twin pack or single pack. What should that mean ? Twin pack as in 2 screen protector ? unsure.gif
*
yes, twin pack = 2 piece

bro u have used task killer before rite? what are the after effects? do u have screen turning into blur screen (like when u hold camera to near the object) after using task killer?
*
if u end task too many apps then you'll have some affects like lag and etc...
never encounter the blur screen thing b4..

QUOTE(pluginbaby @ Jun 10 2010, 01:37 PM)
i have a problem here, maybe due to task killers or some apps are causing this.. Whenever i run some apps or open stock browser to browse.. when i press home button again, Htc Sense reloads itself.. as if it is restarting the process.. did i go wrong anywhere? im afraid that it would be a waste in resource and in long term, it would drain battery for the useless sense restarting procedure.. any ideas? im guessing its the task killers
*
yes. that's the cause of using task killers too much, previously i end task too much my htc sense keep reloading itself too.. after i stop using it then nvr had this problem already.. so what they said about task killers are true.. you don't really need them only when necessary..
I only use them if my app hang then need to end task it to relaunch.. that's all

what task killer are you using? ive tried advanced task killer (green logo)  and TasKiller (red logo with X mark) .. yeah.. i do agree on that.. im trying to minimize the use of task killers.. perhaps the use of killing all task before putting your phone down from usage is best to ensure it sleeps at the lowest resource usage..
*
using advanced task killer by aaron(blue icon)
try not to use too much of it, it'll kill your phone. tongue.gif

Not too sure if anybody experience the following issue

1. When turning off mobile network, and turning back...the system cannot turn on the EDGE/3G network. This mean cannot have data connection. So need to restart the phone and it is on back

*
this is the common issue for the HTC desire. it is the same as if u on wi-fi then off it and then on mobile network, it won't work..
you don't have to restart the phone, u just go to the mobile settings where there is wcdma only, gsm only, gms/wcdma auto...
you just need to change it to wcdma or gsm/wcdma auto then you'll get back your 3G network..

The new update software for HTC Desire will fix this problem as mine already have..
NOTE: Currently EU models only have the update, SEA not yet.. Read first post for more info

oh, I think I better wait for a while, see any better task manager come out...
*
IMO, the advanced task killer(by aaron la) is one of the best already.. It is recommended by many sites but still...
it is not necessary to use task killers too much unless necessary.. let me find the article...

EDIT: Found
http://geekfor.me/faq/you-shouldnt-be-usin...r-with-android/
this one really explains it very detail why u shouldn't use task killers

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Jun 10 2010, 03:33 PM)
Let me guess, do you guys a widget to toggle the WiFi/GPS/Mobile connectivity? I find that whenever I use a widget, there is a chance it may fail.
Instead of restarting my phone though, all I do is just manually go to Settings -> WiFi/GPS/Mobile, and play with the settings there.

For example, if I'm' facing a Mobile connection problem like this:
1) I toggle the Mobile widget on. However EDGE/HSDPA still not enabled properly.
2) I toggle the Mobile widget back off.
3) I go to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Network operators, then select Select automatically
4) I toggle the Mobile widget back on. EDGE/HSDPA is then detected properly.

TLDR: The Settings application is more reliable to toggle your connectivity than widgets..
*
Yes, that was what i wanted to say but u explained it much better than me... lol..
anyway, like i said, the new software update already solve the widget problem and is working perfectly now thumbup.gif
