he got updates for his apps from the app market, that's all....

Doesn't all the GPS apps work almost the same..
set point A(your location) to point B(where you want to go) then set...

use the usb cable provided... once plug in, choose the option as disk then the computer will recognize your hand phone(SD CARD) like a pendrive..
then put it anywhere you want... safely removed it
Use ASTRO to search for that file... that's all...
Astro is used to locate your files and etc as Android does not come with a "windows explorer" app

prefer usb, so much faster...

you need to pair both device and pc only can transfer

If you like iTunes, go with iPhone
if you hate iTunes, go for HTC Desire.

there's always custom rom!
htc g1 got abandoned just after few months but there's still a lot of good people out there to provide custom roms!

with the new software update, it can last a bit longer...
i use mine usually less than 24 hours almost dead, after update, now almost 48 Hours.. really happy

you will see the pixelated if on white colors background , etc... very obvious

u can't check the cpu unless you have an app..
you can check the os, press menu --> settings --> about phone --> software information --> firmware version 2.1-update1

if u end task too many apps then you'll have some affects like lag and etc...

yes. that's the cause of using task killers too much, previously i end task too much my htc sense keep reloading itself too.. after i stop using it then nvr had this problem already.. so what they said about task killers are true.. you don't really need them only when necessary..
I only use them if my app hang then need to end task it to relaunch.. that's all

try not to use too much of it, it'll kill your phone.

this is the common issue for the HTC desire. it is the same as if u on wi-fi then off it and then on mobile network, it won't work..
you don't have to restart the phone, u just go to the mobile settings where there is wcdma only, gsm only, gms/wcdma auto...
you just need to change it to wcdma or gsm/wcdma auto then you'll get back your 3G network..

The new update software for HTC Desire will fix this problem as mine already have..
NOTE: Currently EU models only have the update, SEA not yet.. Read first post for more info

Yes, that was what i wanted to say but u explained it much better than me... lol..
anyway, like i said, the new software update already solve the widget problem and is working perfectly now

when you press home, you'll see a loading text in the middle.. it's restarting the HTC sense...
