Desire users, want to ask u all how can i identified my GPS is using internal GPS or AGPS ? cause everytime i switch on my GPS and it will lock my location within few seconds.... amazing fast. how fast you guys got the locking location?

use the usb cable provided... once plug in, choose the option as disk then the computer will recognize your hand phone(SD CARD) like a pendrive..
then put it anywhere you want... safely removed it
Use ASTRO to search for that file... that's all...
Astro is used to locate your files and etc as Android does not come with a "windows explorer" app

guys, too bad for iphone fans (including me). when i was still thingking of buying desire or iphone, now i have decided who is the winner. I just read the preview about iphone 4 (it's not iphone 4g btw). honestly, it's not what i was expected for new generation of iphone. i gotta say that iphone 4 sucks for this time (better get desire).

negatives of iphone 4:
- same size of screen (3.5" only)
- still uses TFT screen (when all the new smarthphones have used amoled or even super amoled)
- secondary camera can only be used between iphone over wifi (cant use 3g) -- it's totally useless then
- uses microSIM (smaller size of SIM Card that we are using now) -- it makes us difficult if we want to use another phone using the same SIM Card
- no stereo for video recording
- no radio

i think that's all for now about the negatives of new iphone 4. we will know more when it has been released and reviewed. no offense, but i guess desire is still much better than iphone 4.

hey guys, for those who use the phone for around 3 weeks, is your battery getting better? mine already non stop charging for 1 and half week but still gone very fast ler?

yup.. sometimes when you pinch the home screen, the smaller home screens just went scattered nowhere.... after turn off the screen, then turn back on, it's ok again... lol

Haha ya Samsung Galaxy S is also hot here but no way can compete with Desire.

Best use of Desire is to be able to access internet in a jam. Nice!

awesome wallpaper! is it hd wallpaper just like the flikie apps? in that also got nice wallpaper that will fill ur phone 7 homescreen nicely. *ala windows mobile 7*

You guys really use the 7 screen? I use only 3 screens. Home screen for programs (Message, Facebook for HTC, eBuddy, Settings) & no widget. Left screen is Engadget widget, and at right other side of the screen is calendar widget. How about u guys/gals?

haha.. thats a optimized usage of homescreen i guess.. nice one.. people say that widgets drain up battery but i guess its not that significant isnt it comparing to live wallpapers and high brightness setup..

p/s : i did not attach the full pic in to default display to not annoy anyone else.. im afraid that this thread would be messed up later.. perhaps opening a screenshot thread would be great for us to share screenies and discuss on what is the best looking setup and widgets 

yeah.. for normal usage the desire is not that bad unless u have itchy fingers and play games most of the time... lol.. i charged last nite and today was so busy and not playing, just about 30 sms + 20min of call still have 70% when i got home.. usually at class i play game 4-6 hours usage already drained in the amount of 40-50%.. lol
not sure but im not using it anymore.. that screenshot was a week ago.. but i did notice my sense did crashed, i posed that issue last week.. but that time i suspected it was the task killer fault.. yeah.. maybe thats the culpit.. just a guess.. cant confirm it as i resetted my phone already.. thanks to my backup pro.. decently restored all back (i selected sms, contacts and android settings (htc widgets) only for backup n restore)

depends on which email server are you using with. If it's with gmail yes the push email is awesome on the desire

Hi all

My Desire multi touch function as gone after I install swype function. I am not sure whether I mistakenly turn off the multi touch function or the swype keyboard function which cause this problem.

Did any one of you having the same issue....Please help.

none yet as i know.. its a closed beta now.. its working much wayyy better comparing to XYplayer btw.. but still not in sync totally.. dayum
im not so sure la bro.. hmm.. maybe some others could assist u on that.. it should be working fine.. last case scenario is hard resetting but b4 that, maybe there are ways to fix that.. just wait, maybe other ppl have better ideas
